Guitar is my main instrument, I've spent thousands of hours playing and teaching. I can show you how to do pretty much anything you want to do or learn on guitar.

About Scott

Hi! I'm Scott. I usually perform using a one-man band setup I created. I modified guitar and made foot pedals to control a drum set, while singing. I have a recording studio at home, and have performed with bands as a singer, guitarist, saxophonist, bassist, percussionist, and as a sound engineer.

Wanted to share an update after multiple lessons - Scott is a virtuoso teacher - he has some many techniques and tricks for helping a person learn to sing - he's also able to start anyone signing right off the bat - not just learning scales or technique - it's so much more fun to learn while you are singing at the same time.

Scott is an incredible teacher - he brings so many years of experience and different techniques that I couldn't help but become a better singer!

Welcome to the world of guitar! I look forward to guiding you through your new musical journey! For my guitar lessons, we will study the chords and techniques of the instrument. My standard guitar courses are perfect for the absolute beginner who wants guidance on what path to take. We will cover chords, strumming, how to put songs or pieces together, fingerpicking, and how to use our hands in the most effective ways possible to get the results we want! This course is also the perfect place to start if you are an absolute beginner, but are interested in classical/flamenco playing, as this will cover the basics of music and handling the instrument. Let's start your journey together!

About Zachary

Hello there! I am currently a junior in college studying nursing but also pursuing classical and Flamenco guitar during my spare time. Please do not be discouraged by me being only 21 years old; I may be young, but I am experienced. I went to a well known performing arts high school in Florida wher

Zach is an excellent teacher! very patient even with complete beginners. Class time was split between discussing technique and going over musical pieces. I only wanted to learn some basic acoustic techniques at first but ended up finding a passion for classical guitar I didn't know I had! Zach's expertise and love for the music definitely comes through.

Zach has been patient, consistent and is quite serious in his instruction. Thank you!

Why learn the guitar? The guitar is a challenging but highly rewarding instrument. There are certain thoughts and emotions that I am unable to voice with words alone, playing the guitar helps me express such things.

I have 20 years of experience playing the guitar, and close to 15 years teaching. I have a degree in music composition and theory from the University of Texas, and I currently teach guitar, bass, drums, piano, and music production to over 120 students at a local non-profit.

I am confident that I can help you achieve your music related goals and help you become the musician yo want to be.

"As I became interested in the idea of learning how to play guitar I started out and made it clear that I had absolutely no knowledge of anything regarding anything. I had the dreadful thought that I would become quickly disinterested since I had nightmares of having to play Mary had a little lamb for a month or make next to no progress in my lessons. After my first lesson I was completely wrong. Chase's ethic and method as a teacher highly impressed me as a student since he doesn't really have a lesson plan but builds one around you as an individual. He has visual representations that he gives with each new thing that way if you're like me where forgetting is a terrible curse bestowed upon you, you can refer back to it by looking at the paper things and the comments/scribbles he would make in areas you needed to put more attention towards. After each lesson Chase had the ability to shove an immense amount of knowledge in 30 minutes rather than a whole week for what I would think would be the average teacher, not only was he teaching me how to strum a chord or barre a pattern but in between he would give me detailed explanations on why each group sounds good together or why the sounds gives us a type of emotion when played as only a few examples. All in all I was never bored in any topic we decided to address that day. That was a fun part, was that each day it was something new and he taught you not what he felt like teaching but where you were as a student, if you were progressing in some areas that allowed you to move on but still need more practice on something else he wouldn't have you stay in one spot until you perfected it, he would help you with the area that was troublesome and teach you a new topic if you felt ready. Chase never rushes which was highly appreciated since learning an instrument can cause frustration which could lead to a feeling of hopelessness and eventually discouragement. THIS LEADS TO ANOTHER NOTE!! HIS PATIENCE IS HIS GREATEST QUALITY!! I can't recall how many times I had instances where I would've slapped myself acros the face for being incompetent and unteachable or just a hopeless cretin LOL. He never gets annoyed or impatient and on the contrary encourages you to make mistakes since they eventually allow you to form new techniques. That attitude is also what made his improvisation lesson such a confidence booster since instead of creating a planned session, he gives you scales to practice so that when improv time comes around you can make your own little pattern on the spot and not have to worry whether you suck or not. The point was to play in the moment and disregard any thought of your mess ups or how bad you sound, eventually these sessions became easier since you forget about judgement. His flexibility schedule wise was also awesome, as a high schooler with a part/full time job there were occasions where I was forced to change our designated day for the week due to some ridiculous excuse my sucky coworkers had, so it's very appreciated how willing he is to work with your personal life. IN CONCLUSION SINCE I FEEL LIKE I'M TYPING A NOVEL I would highly recommend anyone to allow chase to be their private instructor his personality is great, his ethics are great, and his entire being is great."

Guitar for Kids: How to Help Your Child Love the Guitar

Many parents aren't sure how to best support their child in learning a new instrument. Guitar teacher Dylan P. shares his tips for parents to encourage their children to fall in love with the guitar... You can’t teach a child to love the guitar. You can lead them there, but they have to find it themselves. For a kid, guitar is a hard instrument to play. They have to dig their fingers into steel strings, make indents, and get calluses. They have to understand that each note has a letter, …
