I work with students on both the craft and creative side of music in an enthusiastic and nurturing environment. This approach is aimed at awakening a student's drive to explore their own musical path both inside and outside the lesson. Within a lesson, we will work on (1) instrumental technique and basic music theory, very important aspects to us as players, and (2) improvisation/composition and having creative musical discussions, which are invaluable to us as creatives. In teaching lessons, it is my great pleasure to share with students of all ages and skill levels the knowledge that I've gained over 27 years of playing. I firmly believe that anyone can learn anything at any time, given the proper tools!

In our first lesson, we will determine your musical goals and create a realistic path to achieving them. It's my job to help you along this path while keeping things fun.

To maintain focus and week-to-week continuity, I always provide lesson notes to take home. I can also provide recordings of lessons and transcriptions of pieces, if desired.

Experienced teacher and concert violinist, works with beginner to advanced students. Graduate of Manhattan School of Music & Yale University. I help students become their own best teachers, develop their ear and learn a natural technique to communicate the music most effectively. Technique is applied in the context of the music, and students will learn to develop and apply their musical instincts and gain an organic understanding of musical style, history, theory, and performance.

Experienced teacher in violin for 5 years, specializing in beginner/intermediate students of all ages! Every lesson is adapted and caters to each individual students needs. We will work together to build a strong foundation in technique, sight reading, ear training, basic music theory and etc.. My private students range in age from 4 to 40 years old, and I have gone on to become music teachers, composers, and professional musicians. My most influential teachers have been members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and graduates of The Curtis Institute of Music.

I teach from the earliest beginner through adult. My violin students are currently performing for different schools and ensembles. When students are performing with orchestras, much time is spent working on that music as well as their regular music.
