I am so glad you’re here!
The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.
Discover for yourself why families love my innovative music lessons for kids.
YES! Music Matters!
The curriculum is built on research that proves MUSIC MATTERS. Music affects virtually every aspect of development and when young children are consistently engaged by music during the “musical window” they benefit at many levels.
What about private lessons?
Do I believe in private lessons? You bet! But I know from experience that private lessons are most valuable for older kids who have the ability to concentrate in a one-to-one setti
With this Private setting you will have a solid foundation in keyboard skills and music theory and typically excel quickly in their continued music education and when learning other instruments. The education and experiences a child has in my music program sets them up for success with private instruction.
Builds spatial-temporal reasoning skills critical for greater success in math and science studies.
Music students out-perform non-music students on achievement tests in reading and math.
Music students receive more academic honors and awards than non-music students.
Develops social and emotional skills including the ability to relate to others and better express ideas, and less likely to have behavior/discipline problems.
I offer up to 2 recitals a year so that you can perform everything you know.
Feel free to reach out and let's setup some lessons.
George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.

George is totally passionate about teaching. He encourages the kids to practice and do their best. He has great knowledge and understanding of music theory. He is pleasant, easy going and works really well with kids. Overall really good teacher. Recommend!
Whatever your instrument and style of choice, music is meant to be shared! Even if you're playing just for yourself, I want you to learn to put on the best performance for the YOU-audience that you can!
Together we'll help to build skills to hone your musical skills as well as the best way to present the music for whoever you would like to hear it.
I have been studying music for most of my life and began teaching when I was 16. I have been given the opportunity to learn from some of the best musicians and teachers around. Before relocating to Denver, I regularly gave performances throughout the Cincinnati area, as well as in surrounding states. I earned a bachelors of music in guitar performance at The College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. While studying there I was able to meet musicians with different approaches to music and broaden my perspective on the way that I played and taught. Since moving to Denver, I have begun graduate studies at the Lamont School of Music.
I have taught students of all ages and skill levels and have been able to watch my students meet goals of all sorts in their lessons. One of the studios that I teach at was also recognized in the category of
"Best Music Instruction" by Cincy Magazine.
If you have never picked up an instrument before, I would love to introduce you to the basics of music as well as the guitar. If you have played some guitar, or another instrument, and are looking to hone your skills and maximize your potential, it would be my pleasure to help you along that track.
I draw on my experience, as a professional musician of 25 years, in my teaching of others. This experience includes - Church music; both as a soloist and as a music director. Touring musician; stage presence, improvisation, sound. Carnival Cruise Lines staff musician; '99 -2000
*** Lesson Details *** I believe that your interest in the instrument from the "get-go" is what makes the lessons seem to fly by. As you learn, this interest only gets stronger. It is my responsibility as the teacher to make sure your time spent with me is time spent where knowledge is TRANSFERRED to you and not DISPLAYED to you. There will be responsibilities for you as the student, as this is necessary in order for you to get intimately acquainted with your instrument. But my style of teaching is simple & laid back. I feel the need that learning be enjoyable.
..as we both learn together and as you get to the place that you want to be as a musician!...at your pace!
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide my personal instrument. The student must provide instrument he / she wishes to learn on.
I am a performing artist by trade. You can expect to learn to perform music successfully in front of an audience. Whether you wish to perform music in front of small or large audiences, being tutored on musical performance is a helpful way for you to reach your artistic goals.
Music is my life. Since the age of 16, I have studied the guitar extensively. During my high-school years I was involved in band, marching band, choir, and independent music theory. I started my first band when I was 19 in the U.S. Army, and my life has never been the same since. I played music professionally in local bands while attending UMSL and have been teaching guitar and musical performance to many students privately for the last 7 years while developing and exploring my own musical goals. Recently I have written, produced, and performed on 5 original music albums, toured from St Louis to Texas and Colorado, and have learned many things about humanity and our culture's relationship to music. Those who share a passion for music form an extraordinary community. Come take the first step toward your potential...
*** Lesson Detai
ls *** My students can expect professional, expert advise from a working performance artist. One of my main philosophies is a focus on fun. If music is fun, then students will practice more - which leads to accelerating returns. My students can expect lessons tailored to their specific goals. First I will discuss with the student musical influences and genre preferences, then I will assess the student's current abilities and we will begin designing a weekly regimen of practice and study. As a product of the Internet generation, I recommend using all the tools available to my students including the Internet to further their goals. My students will also learn to perform with other musicians, so we will typically have a segment of each lesson dedicated to jam time. Whether my students aspire to be professional performance artists, impress their love interests, or just rock out in their bedrooms, I work with my students so that they can do exactly that.
*** Studio Equipment *** one bedroom apt...hardwood floor...central room for studio...music stands, room parents to sit, chairs...
*** Travel Equipment *** I bring a music stand, an acoustic guitar, my handout literature, and any other equipment (mic, stand, vocal amp, electric guitar, guitar amp) based on what my students want to learn. I expect my students to own whatever instruments they want to learn.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in teaching acoustic and electric guitar and stage performance. I teach using handouts that I customize for students and have lessons made up around different concepts such as - learning to identify what key a song is in - how to use 3 chord combinations - learning scales and when to use them - these type of things. I usually teach based on how I learned, which includes - using the Internet to learn songs - how to figure out how a particular song is played - getting into good practice habits - etc. My genres of specialty are Blues, Rock/Classic Rock/Southern Rock, and Acoustic Singer/Songwriter. What I like to do is ask a student what kind of music or songs they would like to learn, then build them up to the level they need to be to play those songs or that style of interest.
Richie is an incredible instructor. Every lesson I have with him is fun, and he pushes me to try new skills in order to develop my abilities. Always prepared with a valuable lesson, but also ready to work through the songs I bring. Overall awesome experience!

I have been on stage performing for more than 12 years. I performed in several countries in Africa, Europe and USA.
Albino was born in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, a country in southern Africa known for its rich musical and cultural heritage. Fueled by the resourcefulness and determination that have always characterized Mozambicans, he built his first guitar at 16 from a 5-liter can of oil, scrap wood, and strings made out of electrical cords.
Drawn to the sounds of neighborhood street musicians in Maputo, Albino began to play in a number of local bands. As with his home-made guitar, Albino wanted to combine styles and incorporate diverse elements in his music. For his talents to grow, he knew he needed experience new places, cultures, and sounds.
While studying music education and Performance at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique, he heard about the Berklee School of Music in Boston, USA, where he could expand his musical horizons
. Soon after, he was one of the first students to receive a full scholarship to Berklee through the African Scholars program. In 2009, he settled in Boston, Massachusetts.
At Berklee, he was exposed to a variety of influences, but wanted to go deeper into the roots of jazz and expand his knowledge of music. He auditioned and was selected to participate in the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, which is directed by Danilo Perez and the residency teachers, including Joe Lovano John Patitucci, and Terri Lyne Carrington. The Institute emphasizes an artist's original vision in jazz, and has helped Albino find his own unique voice in the art form.
Albino still felt the absence of his own Mozambican traditions in his music. With the help of his mentors, Richard Bona and Lionel Loueke, two of the most prominent African musicians in the United States of America today, he began to bridge that gap.
Today, Albino's music succeeds in combining many disparate parts into an organic whole. It incorporates his musical experiences from Mozambique, the U.S., and many other places around the world, combining rhythmic patterns and musical concepts to create a unique Moz-Jazz sound. He will always continue to combine and capture the energies of different musical traditions to create a unified and original musical style.
Albino's original composition “Mozambique Dance” was recorded by Jazz Revelation Records, a student-run record label at the Berklee College of Music, for the 8th annual album released in 2011. He also recorded “Awusiwana,” his own composition, for the Berklee 2012 summer album. His debut album, also called Mozambique Dance, is to be released in Spring 2013.
Albino is an active musician, and has performed in several countries including Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Italy, the U.S., and Mexico. He has also produced and recorded various projects in Mozambique and in the United States. In 2012, he will graduate from Berklee College with a degree in Music Production & Engineering and Performance, and a minor in Acoustics and Electronics.

Albino - I just wanted to say thanks again so much for everything you did for me, I'm having so much fun recording. I just finished up my first track and was able to include guitars, bass, piano, drum and vocals, I can't believe how quickly you taught me all of this stuff. This is a huge improvement from where I was a few months ago. Thank you again!!!

Albino is an amazing teacher and musician. He has the ability to inspire you musically and make you feel very comfortable while doing it. He has taught me many new approaches, tips, and tricks to music theory. He has helped me to be able to really understand why things are the way they are, and not just figure things out on paper like an equation. Definitely the best tutor I've ever had! I'd highly recommend him.
I have been performing for over 15 years professionally. I have performed throughout the U.S., as well as in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, & Turkey between 2012-2016. Josh is always easy to be around and is able to form any lesson around what I wanted to do, as well as teach me loads of new ideas if I hadn’t planned anything. He has greatly helped improve my own production and give me insight into what professional producers do to set themselves apart. He’s great to work with and always in an uplifting mood.

Josh is an awesome teacher. He is patient and supportive and always comes up with ways to connect me to the concept he’s teaching. I asked to learn drums “the right way” so we spend a ton of time on fundamental exercises that i suspect are boring for him but he never shows it. He is always upbeat and positive and I enjoy our lessons a lot. Could not recommend him more highly.
"Arlette is a kind and gentle teacher. She made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable right away. She always has something positive to say that encourag
es my daughter to want to do her best."
"I have been playing piano for 8 plus years and recently started singing and playing. Danny has shown me great techniques to positioning and utilizing a mi
c while playing and holding my notes while playing. As an added bonus, I even extended my upper range a whole octave higher, that was totally unexpected. After my first solo gig, I got amazing feedback. I am excited and ready to do more."
"I was Lilia's mentor at California Institute of the Arts for three years. She is a hard worker, very determined and disciplined and a very promising, uniq
ue artist. Although she is primarily a guitarist she is also a highly trained and accomplished gymnast and acrobat. I have no doubt that Lilia makes an exciting, flexible and compassionate teacher."
"she is amazing she the best with any songs u give her top level teacher I promise"
"I studied under Jordan when he was a TA at SDSU. He was laid back, easy to get along with, and always helpful when I had questions for him. Since then,
I've had the pleasure of performing in SDSU ensembles with Jordan. I mean it when I say it: Jordan is not only one of the best music teachers in San Diego, but he is also one of the best trombone players I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."
"Arrica has been such a wonderful teacher for my 11-year-old daughter. (She was 9 when she started with Arrica.) Our girl has a lot of raw talent but neede
d some good instruction that wasn't too formal. Africa is just the right blend of traditional singing technique and fun rock-n-roll, record your own music on Garage band. We love her!"
"Daughter Loves Class
My six-year-old loves to perform. Randy has been helping her with her intonation, piano playing, performing, and general ear for mus
ic in a manner that is fun and successful. My daughter is excited all week to go to her class."
"I have played music with Abby for over 30 years. She is enthusiastic about her musical ideas for a performance;she is hard working before and during rehe
arsals; she enjoys people and interacts with them in a friendly and concerned manner. I have heard some of her music students perform and observe that she has imparted these skills to her students based on the performances I heard. I highly recommend her for any teaching position she aspired to as I believe she would carry these attributes into any teaching situation she encountered."
"Antonio is a talented musician who kindly plays the guitar for some of my Flamenco dance classes. He also participates in some of Tablado Dance Company pe
