My laid-back and fun approach allows for versatility and is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student. When studying the art of singing you are gaining skills, which build confidence.

When you understand what you'€™re doing and why, you bring more confidence to your performance. Progress is made with regular practice outside of lessons. Voice students record each private lesson through their devices and take notes in their own notebooks.

I have "warm-up" tracks which you can use in your car or at home and you will notice significant improvement once you start your routine.

I've been a guitar player for a while and have wanted to learn how to sing along with the guitar. Mark has done an excellent job determining where I currently am as a singer and how I can get to where I want to be as a singer. He has started with the basics and explaining to me how you can improve as a singer by making routine out of several exercises. He has done a great job not just explaining what the exercises are, but why they are beneficial to me as a vocalist. After gathering a better sense of my voice, I have started bringing my guitar to lessons and he has helped me immensely to blend my voice with my instrument. Since doing these lessons, I've had the confidence in my voice to start performing at open-mic nights in the Twin Cities and I thank Mark for that! He is wonderful!

I have a B.S. in Music Education. I have worked with several disabled students patiently guiding them, finding creative ways to make music accessible to them. I believe it is not about me or the parent, but the student. I work with children of all ages believing that we can find a way that works so that in a few months you see results. Anyone can learn to sing or play but not everyone is going to enjoy it without the right approach and teacher. I don't want to hear a student say that the teacher didn't listen to me, they wouldn't entertain my ideas.
In my studio I have two piano's and a keyboard. We have monitors and microphones and the ability to record. I encourage the composer to the pop music player, from the classical artist to the Broadway singer.
Currently, I have several students that compose their own music, helping
one of those students to become a copyrighted artist.

For the child I have had the most success with the Bastien method and for the Adult pianist I usually use Alfred's method books. I constantly have access to musicnotes.com to download any current or older hit in addition to the method books. I want you to learn to note read and then to play by chords. I never want the student to lose their creative, artistic ability. They should feel welcome at all times to add input to the lesson. - Singing lesson time is generally divided 50/50 between voice building and repertoire. I accompany vocalists on both piano and guitar, teaching the melody notes as they are sung along with the piano. Then, once the melody is learned, I often switch to the guitar with just chordal backing. The acoustic guitar is also softer than the piano and lets the singer hear their own voice better. For voice building, I use my own concepts plus approaches of famous voice teachers like Jeffrey Allen, Seth Riggs, and Anthony Frissel.
- I am very experienced performing all styles of guitar and can cater to the student's specific area of interest, whether it be rock, folk, classical, or jazz.
- With piano, I work on fundamentals of reading and technique. Learning basic harmony and chord construction starting with triads (3 note chords), the student can soon read single stave lead sheets (a form of music notation widely utilized by professional musicians) as well as the grand staff. This approach trains the ear and makes learning how to play popular songs much easier.

He is a graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in EDUCATION in the fields of Music, Spanish and German Literature, with a minor in Linguistics, French, and Italian Studies from UNSW (University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia).

He is fluent (native speaker fluency) to teach Music in language immersion programs in these languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Tagalog, Cebuano (Visaya).

He also has advanced students with an Associate Degree (A Mus TCL) and B Mus candidates teaching at much lesser rates.

I have taken lessons with Ronald since I was 6, I am now 23. In my 17 years of taking lessons I have learned to play piano, sing and am proficient in music theory. In the more recent years I have even had the opportunity to teach music through Ronald. Throughout the years, I have experienced and witnessed the patience and kindness Ronald consistently shows his students. He encourages his students to become better and shares in their enthusiasm due to their accomplishments. Ronald genuinely cares about his students and is dedicated to making sure his students improve. I fully recommend Ronald for students who have parents who want to be involved in the learning process and especially for young children who are just starting out. Ronald works well with families, includes parents every step of the way and is very patient with young students helping them learn in an open and encouraging environment.

Mr.Chaz is really dedicated to his profession. He started to teach my seven year old son over one year ago and he has motivated him to sing his best and he started piano with him last year which has been a phenomenal experience for my son. Chaz really focuses on the detail, theory and groundwork necessary to excel in music. If you are lucky enough to get your child started with him you will never regret the experience. He is simply the best! My son sings all the time now and loves to play piano. I am so happy for my son to have found someone to expand on his talents!
