My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

Great experience with Zach. I'm still learning how to sing properly, though.

So far, so good: after his first lesson, my son (who has been practicing for a year) seemed to get some really valuable correction to his form. He says it this way: "She's really good at explaining why and how."

As a dynamic exchange, Sofia imparted a masterclass for my students at the Escuela Comunal de Música de Orosi in Cartago, Costa Rica.
It was a very musically enriching experience for each of my kids, who are litle by little growing as violinists.
Sofia provided a great variety of recommendations through her knowledge as interpreter and teacher as well as cautivated everyone in the room with her passion and energy for music.
Sofia is definitely an excellent guide to learn how to play violin and the musical skills it entails.

I have interacted with Sofia in a number of capacities over the years. She’s able to build great rapport with her students and focuses on building a personalized growth program for each one.

Chris was very patient with me. I had special challenges due to be an older student that started later in life. We communicated very well--asking and answering questions. Chris knew how to help me as I am challenged with intonation. He did not let me slide which is an excellent quality in an instructor.

When I had questions or problems that we were not able to figure out between the two of us he went to his instructor to ask. He was not afraid to admit that he didn't know. He respected me as a scientist who had challenging questions.

Overall, I highly recommend Chris as an instructor for viola.

Chris is super knowledgeable, flexible to make lessons work over Skype, and attentive to make sure the lessons are tailored to what I am trying to learn as a growing pianist. I’ve had a great experience, grown a lot, and look forward to more lessons!

"My 10 year old son had been taking face to face weekly lessons in a local academy prior to his first online lesson with Margaret. She made my son feel comfortable and she took a very "hands on" approach in learning where my son was at in terms of skills and knowledge and getting right to work. Margaret was open to teaching songs my son likes to play in addition to those in the workbook. Overall, a great first lesson!"

"I am 43 and started my first musical instrument experience with Concetta, with no background and knowledge of music theory at all. Needless to say how challenging it was at first, but with her dedication, professionalism and friendly approach, I made a significant progress in about 7 months. I am so happy to have Concetta as my violin teacher and would definitely recommend her."

"Jessica started teaching my son in Feb 2014, just after he turned 5. He told me that he wanted to play an instrument and chose the violin, so we went online and found Jessica here and on the Suzuki website. Her experience and reviews really stood out and I can tell you from our personal experience that every word is true. She is the most patient, kind, fun, engaging, and positive teacher you could ask for for your child. And on top of it all, she is an excellent violinist herself who really understands music and how to explain it.

My son has come a really long way and he is very proud to be able to play the violin! He is not always the easiest to work with, (some days his favorite word is 'no'!) but she really encourages him when he gets frustrated and I know she is a big part of why he has come so far.

One of the things I love about Jessica is her ability to adapt seamlessly to the needs of her students. She is flexible and able to adjust what she does to take advantage of her students' strengths and gradually improve their weaknesses and doesn't just stick to one way of teaching. She is also incredibly accessible if you have questions or need guidance and always stays in touch, even with her busy schedule.

After a few months of my son taking lessons, we even decided to hire her for an extra half hour so that I could get formal instruction too. I am 39 and never seriously played an instrument before (1 year of elementary school clarinet, notwithstanding) yet she can go right from teaching my 5 yr old to working with me without missing a beat. I feel like she brings out the best in her students and I see concrete improvement in my own skills and understanding every week and can't believe how far I have come in only a few months with her.

So bottom line is whether you are 5 or 50 and no matter your experience level, if you are looking for a violin teacher, I highly recommend hiring Jessica immediately"

"My lesson with Stephanie was great! I was very nervous about how my teacher would make me feel, as I can get easily embarrassed and anxious when I’m not doing things right, and she made me feel like I was doing amazing the entire time! Giving me corrections casually and kindly! After only one lesson I have already greatly improved, and she has made the lesson plans fit my individual wants and needs! She’s absolutely fantastic!😁"

How to Play the Violin Like Lindsey Stirling

The inimitable Lindsey Stirling has shaken the world’s concept of classical music. From sold-out shows around the globe to her top-ranked YouTube video for "Crystallize," she’s come a long way since being eliminated in the quarter-finals of “America’s Got Talent” in 2010. While Lindsey has experienced a meteoric rise in the music world, her success is rooted in the same principles that have guided countless artists to virtuoso status: training with a classical instructor merged with co …
