I love playing and teaching violin and can't wait to share my passion with you!

I tailor my approach to each student. Some students require more technical work, some require interpretive. Both are fascinating and can be taught with structure and clarity.

About Martina
Hi! My name is Martina and I am a classically trained violist. In May of 2013 I received a Master of Music from Roosevelt University, where I studied with Lawrence Neuman of the Chicago Symphony. I received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin with Sally Chisholm of the Pro Arte quartet. The only thing I love more than playing viola is sharing the joy of music with others! I've received training on violin and viola and can't wait to start teaching you or your child.

*** Lesson Details ***
I tailor my approach to each student to make sure that:
1.) The student is getting exactly what he/she wants out of the lessons.
2.) The lessons are an appropriate difficulty for the student.
3.) A student's strengths and weaknesses are being addressed with a tailor-made lesson plan and long-term goals.

*** Travel E
quipment ***
I can provide a stand. Student is responsible for purchasing an instrument, and any sheet music. I can definitely advise on an instrument to purchase and will instruct with specific music requests.

Martina is very skilled at what she does, and she is an amazing teacher. She pointed out all of my strengths and weaknesses at the first lesson, and she always teaches at my pace and not her own, giving me the opportunity to completely learn something before moving on to more difficult things. She is overall a very friendly person who you will feel incredibly comfortable to be around, and she always does the best job that she can to teach me every single lesson. I look forward to our lessons every week, and I am simply amazed by how much I am progressing under her guidance.

I have been teaching for 4 years and I use the Suzuki Method and other methods that I think would be beneficial for my students. No matter if you just want to learn for fun or you want to study music in college, we can talk about your goals for learning the violin.

About Pearl
Have you always wanted to learn the piano or violin? It’s never too late! I have been playing the piano and violin for 14 years and have been teaching for 2 years. I have a variety of experiences over the years, ranging from instructors who graduated from the Juilliard School of Music, Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles and the Music Conservatory of Paris. I have also performed in piano competitions and have played solo piano with an orchestra. In addition, I was a member of the CSUN youth symphony and my college symphony.
I can teach beginner to advanced students classical, broadway, pop and basic jazz on both the piano and violin.
I can also assist you if you're struggling with music theory. While learning the piano, I studied music theory and took numerous tests that help me retain what I was learning. Music theory is an essential
part of learning to play the violin or piano and even other instruments.

I tailor my lessons uniquely to each of my students because my students should love the learning process. I am always willing to listen and to encourage each one of my students to keep on going!

*** Lesson Details ***
I give 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute lessons. I also do lessons via Skype. You may email me for further information.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my violin and can also provide you with a music stand. I do require my students have their own violin, bow, shoulder rest and rosin.

Have been teaching 17 years

About David
I grew up in Birmingham, AL, Boston, MA, and Cleveland, OH, and was classically trained on violin in all three cities by members of their respective orchestras. I began studying theory in 7th grade at The Alabama School of Fine Arts. I continued theory lessons while in Boston at the New England Conservatory of Music. I attended Summer music programs at Apple Hill (New Hampshire) and Sewanee (Tennessee) and have extensive experience in orchestra, quartet, and chamber group environments.

Upon graduating Emory university in 1992 I played professionally in Destin, FL as a bassist, guitarist, violinist, and vocalist. I performed as bassist and backing vocalist with "Salty Dog" for nearly a decade. I am the co-founder of the Destin, FL band "Beach Mice." We perform for several weddings, corporate events, and benefits every year. Beach
Mice is also popular on the festival circuit on the Emerald Coast.

I relocated to Atlanta in November of 2013, and currently perform weddings, and at various restaurants and events in the Atlanta area.

I have taught individuals and group lessons on violin, bass, and guitar since 1997 and for several consecutive years at Playground Music in Fort Walton Beach.

I have several videos available on YouTube, and a website which is easily located through a simple Google search.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you fulfill your musical goals and ambitions. Happy Playing - Cheers! dp

I'm an avid fan of hers and attend the concerts she puts on for her students in winter and spring. She only teaches violin, but she is very knowledgeable of music in general and helped me practice notes and counting on piano. She also taught me how to correctly hold the bow for a cello, when before I thought a cello was just a larger violin.

She raves about her students' progress to me a lot. I find that enthusiasm is contagious and I know her love for teaching positively influences her students--just this year I could hear the improvement many of them made in the months between their winter and spring concerts.

Tablature is a form of musical notation that was invented to make reading music easier for fretted and string instruments like guitar, bass, and violin.
