I only had Marc for a couple months (unfortunately had to move), but he is a phenomenal teacher and I recommend to anyone. He's very easy to communicate with and strikes a great balance between the technical learning you need with having fun.

I only got to take lessons from Marc for a couple of months in the summer of 2016 (I had to move away for work), but he is hands down the best music teacher I've ever encountered. It's a year and a half later and I'm still benefitting from his tutelage. From beginner to advanced, you've found the right guy for the job.

This is great for all students of guitar and music in general. It helps the student understand the mechanics of the instrument; and how music in general works and blends those sounds we love.
I highly recommend at least a basic idea of music theory for all students.

What a great teacher! He has several decades of experience in playing and teaching and it shows. He plays effortlessly and is very patient. He would be the ideal teacher for someone who is either new or already experienced with the guitar. Also, I feel like he can play most any song (and coming from a 70s/80s rock/metal fan, it's great). If you're on the fence about learning or continuing with lessons, give him a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve really enjoyed my lessons with Bill. Learned a ton from him so far and appreciate his patient, calm manner

Hello! My name is Carol Anne Drescher and I am a professional musician with a passion for teaching. I received my B.M. in performance from James Madison University in 2015. I have been taking lessons with Carol Anne for over seven months and have learned more about theory and voice in that time than over the last ten years learning on my own. I never possessed the confidence to sing in public until taking lessons with Carol Anne. She quickly helped me understand my voice and potential. I was always a guitar player who was reluctant to utilize my voice. A relative was insistent that she wanted me to sing at her husband’s wake. Realizing this relative was not going to take no for an answer I went searching for Voice coach. Within three weeks Carol Anne implanted the skill and confidence to allow me pull off this event/challenge.
Even though my initial reason for taking Voice was successful, I continued lessons with Carol Anne due to the enjoyment of opening up a whole new musical avenue. She helped me find what I needed to work on. Carol Anne provided challenges that allowed me to better understand my capabilities and taught me the skills necessary to gain a higher understanding of music. Thru Carol Anne’s talents she helped me strengthen my voice, expand my range, and help me add a personal touch to songs.
On top of being an highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate teacher, she is just an easy person to be around. I felt that I could experiment very freely with my voice in front of her, which is something I didn’t feel comfortable doing around many people. Now, I love singing in front of others.
I would have zero reservations recommending her to anyone looking for a music coach in any capacity.

"AMAZING!

I met Dave in my music theory class at Ex'pression college. He's the reason why I'm making music today. I went from not knowing a thing about music theory or a piano to creating chord progressions, understanding modes, intervals, modal interchange, and how to read sheet music. He's extremely patient, professional, and easy to get along with. His passion for music and teaching is infectious, I highly recommend!!!"

"I needed help knowing how to arrange a full band work for my Instrumentation Class project. I offered to pay him to do it for me but he wouldn't do that (haha). But he did sit with me and show me how to do it myself and I was happy I learned something. It wasn't great but if I had the desire to be an arranger then I would definitely study more with Jeremy."

"Hi Ms Bethany, this is Sheenu(Gia & Dia's mom). I was just confused after the class coz I had signed them both for singing lessons not theory lessons. But as far as I know you gave a great class on the basics of theory, which was wonderful. Thank you so much for your excellent class. Please let me know if I need to do anything more to change it to singing lessons.
Thank you!!

Kind regards,

He made it easy for me to understand concepts that were always lost on me in the past. It was the best money I have ever spent to get my skills and knowledge where I need them to be. Music Student Face-Off: Memorizers vs. Readers | Which is Better?

As you learn songs and work through your music books, do you memorize the notes? Or do you read along every time you play? In this post, music teacher Vanessa G. discusses the pros and cons to the approaches...   Imagine your teacher gives you a piece of music to study. What's your process? Do you listen to a recording, memorizing the melody and the stylistic aspects before you begin, and then as you play? Or would you sit down and sight read the notes, and perfect it from that star …
