I've had over 20 years experience teaching students of all ages and levels. My main teaching materials are drawn from the Suzuki Method books, but I frequently supplement these materials with other technical studies. I pride myself on a flexible teaching style and will tailor my approach to the individual student. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment for my students, engaging them in a way that makes learning music (and the cello) fun.

About Jacques
*** Travel Equipment ***
None. Instrument, Stand, Music

*** Specialties ***
I use the Suzuki and Sassmannshaus books as my primary teaching materials for beginning to intermediate students. For advanced students, I will use the standard technical study books (Popper, Piatti, etc). I also supplement technical-oriented material for all levels.

It was truly a pleasure meeting Concetta for my first ever violin lesson. It is difficult to learn anything at the age 40, specially a musical instrument, but she made it comfortable and easy to understand. She's extremely patient a key quality when teaching a subject such a music to anyone. I would say, give her teaching style a try and you won't regret it. Very knowledgeable indeed.

Paul has been a tremendous instructor for me and my journey on learning acoustic guitar. During lessons he has also taught me music theory and explained it simply, and through that I feel like the guitar and music in general has been opened up to me and I now see music more clearly. I highly recommend him as an instructor!

Daniel Tressel is an exceptional musician and teacher who has been providing cello lessons to my son for the past five years. Under his direction, my son has reached a level of play that is far beyond what he would have attained through his school orchestra program alone. Daniel is professional yet very personable and tailors his instruction to the needs of the student. His critiques are effective and nonjudgmental, guiding the student to improve with each lesson. He is always punctual and is timely with communication. I am delighted with how much my son has progressed as a musician under Daniel's direction. I highly recommend him as an instructor.

Daniel is a patient and thorough teacher. He provides structured lessons with enough flexibility to address any specific difficulties a student is encountering; either with the lesson material, or material from any activities the student participates in. Personally he has helped with technical bits from music I've played at church as well as music from a youth orchestra I belong to.

The cello is a really cool instrument and I enjoy playing and teaching it.

About Sheri
I play 18 different stringed instruments! I have been playing guitar since I was 9. I have been teaching private music lessons at a music studio since I was 18. I am a singer/songwriter/entertainer. I am very patient. I have a Masters degree in Special Education. I was in a car accident in 2008 and I was told I would never use my right hand again - and I proved the doctors and therapists wrong by using music instruments as my own form of physical therapy - you would never know by the way I play that I have had every finger in my right hand broken and I have plates and screws in my wrist. I can PLAY and TEACH - Guitar, 5-String Banjo, Dobro, Mandolin, Ukulele, Bouzouki, Violin, Viola, Cello, Tenor Banjo, Banjolin, Mountain Dulcimer, Bass, Banjolele, Autoharp, Hammer Dulcimer, Dulcimette, Banjitar. If it has strings - I can play it!
