Cello

I'm a young professional cellist and composer based out of the south Miami area, and I'm excited to start teaching you! I've always loved to play the cello and perform, and I've gotten very into teaching and pedagogy in the past several years. I have both a deep knowledge of the concerto repertoire and a love for new music and popular music. Whatever style you wish to learn I can help!

I have actively taught cello lessons for the past four years professionally, and currently study cello performance and music theory and the Frost School of Music. I greatly enjoy teaching, and I generally work best with late middle and high school students, and am extremely experienced in audition, competition, and performance preparation.

    In the past, I have had students get into highly acclaimed youth orchestras (including Midwest Young Artists Conservatory), compete in chamber music competitions (including Rembrandt Chamber Musicians Annual High School Chamber Music Competition), and win concerto competitions (including the Racine Symphony Young Artists' Competition. 
 
    I myself have been reviewed by the South Florida Classical Review for my recent performance with Ensemble Ibis, the review stating, "Kyle’s burnished cello solo . . . encompassed the work’s passionate moods."

I’m a fellow student at the Frost School of Music.  Kyle is a fantastic cellist, and while I don’t have any direct experience with his teaching, he’s been a joy to work with in an ensemble setting, and I can imagine he would be the same as a teacher too.
