I have been teaching violin boht in the schools and privately for over ten years. I take both beginners and intermediate students. I ask that they are able to read well as reading music can be very difficult to a new student.
I use the books String Builder Book 1 for Violin and Strictly Strings Book 1 for Violin, and Music Ace Deluxe which is a fun way to learn their music theory on the computer.
The students will learn their lines and spaces for both the Treble Clef and Bass Clef as well as the note values in their first few lessons as well as the fingering for ope n and closed strings.
I ask that the students practice everyday except the day of their lesson for only 15 minutes as their fingers are not use to it yet. Once they have been playing for awhile then I ask that they start practicing a little longer each day.

I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher in the following areas: piano, violin, cello, drums, music history, and music theory. I have taught vocal and instrumental music in both Catholic and Public schools, and in after-school programs, for 20 years, and have been giving private lessons for 9 years. I enjoy teaching music to all age students, and especially enjoy watching my students grow in their music ability.

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Marygrove College in Detroit in Language Arts with minors in Music Education and History,and my Masters Degree from Wayne State University in Education with emphasis on English as a Second Language and Sign Language for the Deaf. I have studied Music Education for K-5 at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
I am also a published author of five children's books. You can find them through my

I also tutor for Take Lessons Grades 1 to Grade 8 all subjects except higher level Math.

*** Lesson Details ***
Piano: All students start out learning both Treble and Bass Clefs, and their lines and spaces. Each student then starts to learn their major scales with both right and left hand for piano. They also learn the note values, and are able to put them together in a song. I use Michael Aaron curriculum, which takes in all of the above and their technique lessons. I use all the Michael Aaron Book One, Lessons, Theory, Technic, and Performance Books for any student that is age 6 and above and I would ask that parents would buy them from Anderson Music in Dearborn, Michigan as well as any other lesson books listed below before they come to my home for lessons.

Cello: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, the students learn the bass clef, lines and spaces, scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.I have played cello in the Waterford New Horizons Concert Band for over six years. I have also been the only cellist they have as a member of the band.

Violin: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, students will learn lines and spaces of the treble clef, note values, major scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.

Drums: Using Rockin’ Rhythm Raps, and using drum pads instead of drums, students will learn the correct way to hold drum sticks and the rhythms of all the notes in the treble and bass clefs. They will also learn songs to play.

I have recently returned from a week long stay at the Sonatina Piano Camp in Bennington VT and would like to notify all those piano students who may read this review as to the wonderful experience attending this camp can be. The camp takes adult piano students at all piano skill levels from beginner to well accomplished. Students stay in shared rooms (2-4 persons) which includes a piano in every room. Attendance is usually 18- 27 persons. The mansion itself is home to approx. 30 pianos. All meals are provided (and are outstanding) as well as piano classes and 4 lessons with concert pianists or university piano professors. Ample time is provided to practice a performance piece for the end of week performance night. Master classes are given on several evenings for those wishing to perform a work in progress piece for the attendees and the camp owner providing a public lesson.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

Kathy has worked wonders with my piano lessons. In about a year and half of lessons Kathy has added scales and exercises along with musical selections designed to enhance specific skills, plus has worked with me on select piano works which I find interesting and challenging. My abilities and quality of playing been steadily improving. She is always positive and uplifting yet she still can point out areas of playing quality which require work. She gears lessons and advancement of difficulty to my specific rate of improvement. I couldn't ask for better and and am looking forward to continued progress over time for my improved musicianship.

My greatest desire is that I will instill in each of my students the love I have for making music.
I am a classically-trained violinist. I grew up in Lodz, Poland, where I began musical education at the age of 7.
I studied violin and piano at the Music High School and Music Academy of K.&G. Bacewicz, Lodz, Poland and earned a Master Degree in violin performance in 1980.
During his College years I started to perform with the Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television.
From the mid – 70s until the early 1990s, I performed with several Polish orchestras
and held a position as a violin teacher for four years at the College of Education
in Slupsk, Poland.
Then, I spent almost 10 years performing in numerous ensembles and orchestras in Germany and toured with Orchestra of Great Theater of Lodz in many countries all over the
world.
From 2002 – 2005 he was first violinist at Lodz’s Operetta Theater.
I moved to Michigan in 2005, where he performs with Macomb, Jackson and Flat Rock Symphony Orchestras.

*** Lesson Details ***
The most interesting and beneficial thing about performing music is that it is one of the few activities that engages both the left and the right brain at the same time. I believe that every Human Being is precious and deserves to be nurtured and encouraged in a fun and loving environment. With that in mind, my teaching places equal importance on developing strong technique, and developing creativity. Students learn all the basics of music, and also spend time developing strong ensemble skills and strong background knowledge of style and repertoire, so that they can enjoy music in all kinds of settings, all their lives.
Our time spent together will be laid back and comfortable, yet challenging because that is probably why you want to take lessons.
Each lesson will conclude with an assignment of instrumental pieces/songs given to work on throughout the week—usually 2-3 short songs for 30-minute lessons, and 1-2 longer instrumental pieces for an hour-long lesson. These will be the same pieces we have worked on during the lesson time, so you will go home with the knowledge you need to master each piece. Music theory sheets and technique exercises will also be included in the assignments.
Within 6 months, you will begin discovering how to read music and understand the language of it. You will learn how to play some of your favorite songs/instrumental pieces and learn some that you might not know. We'll discover what you really want to learn and achieve through taking lessons, and we will work toward those goals!
Discipline is vital to musical progress and daily practice is strongly urged, in order for the student to progress. If a students don't practice, they won't progress. Because of that, you can expect that I will encourage consistent and regular practice, always keeping in mind that the study of music is meant to be fun.
Knowing from experience how "boring" it can be to learn by rote, I combine technical work with fun time playing duets together, improvising, and exploring a wide variety of styles and genres of music.

Zebie is a fantastic teacher. He is very patient and is excellent at finding new methods to teach techniques which I am struggling with at the time. Though I am only 3 weeks in (from being pretty much a complete beginner), I can already tell I am making progress. I am very excited to continue my lessons and improve. My name is Erin. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a concentration in Violin. I began studying violin at the age of six. I have performed with small chamber ensembles, orchestras, quartets, and trios. I enjoy playing for churches and weddings, and love teaching.

I began teaching beginner to advanced Violin and Viola in April of 2001 in NC. I moved to California in the fall of 2008. Since moving to California I have extended my teaching to beginner Piano and Cello also. I have taught students ages 3 to 87 how to play and enjoy music on a personal level. My experience includes leading sectionals for middle school orchestra, organizing and instructing small ensembles, and organizing student recitals. Student recitals I arranged once or twice a year to showcase the
students' growth and abilities, and to provide an opportunity to give back to family and friends whose sacrifices and support enable the students to succeed.

I teach because I love music and I believe God has given me a gift. Playing and teaching help me to use my talent for His glory. I love working with people and I love how music enables people of all ages to open up and express themselves in a positive way, no matter what life throws their way. I believe music teaches discipline, builds self esteem; helps set and achieve goals; and positively affects and enhances other curricular endeavors.

My teaching philosophy is to always have fun while learning, to set attainable goals for the student, to learn through encouragement and discipline, and to help students come to love music on a personal level. I focus on the character of each student and their goals and desires to see that the student and/or parents are satisfied. Teaching is a privilege for me that I do not take for granted.

*** Lesson Details ***
I offer half hour, forty-five minute, sixty minute lessons, or longer on a weekly basis, but I do Not offer bi-weekly lessons. My lessons begin with the fundamentals of music. I believe a firm foundation in rhythm and reading is important because a student may switch musical instruments one day and the basics are universal and necessary. I have a deep love and appreciation for music which I hope to instill in my students as well. I am strict in the sense that I like students to polish their pieces before moving on. I like to keep them focused on playing well, not just playing.

A typical lesson will begin with scales to warm up, a review of the previous week's material, and a new assignment. Students will memorize pieces, be proficient in scales and rhythms, and all the while laughing and having a great time. I am known with my students for my creative analogies and flexibility to try new things in order to adapt to the students strengths and weaknesses. My students look forward to coming to their lesson, and that is very rewarding as a teacher.

I primarily use the Suzuki method for Violin and Viola, because it offers progressive steps to mastering technique, style, and musicality. My curriculum includes the use of Winning Rhythms, Wohlfahrt studies, All for Strings Theory, Essentials for Strings, and many more beginner and advanced studies; including shifting and double stops.

I love music and I love working with people; teaching is just icing on the cake. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and discover your talents and I hope we can learn together. I look forward to meeting you!

I'm passionate about music and its many benefits, both academically, emotionally, and physically. I have been teaching strings, piano, harp and drums since 1999. Many of my students have studied with me for years and developed a lifelong love of music. Some have gone on to be professionals.

About Chenyu
I️ teach from books that give students a strong music theory foundation and ability to read music notes. I️ also find songs that my students like, and I️ use computer software to create/edit sheet music that fits their level. I enjoy seeing my students play their favorite songs.

Every 8-10 months, I host recitals for my students to perform in front of family and friends. Parents loved the previous recitals from May 2016, January 2017, and October 2017. This gives students the opportunity to display their talents and hard work in a formal setting. Recitals are optional, for all instruments, and will be held at the Piano Place in Troy.

I have a strict 24-hour notice for cancellations. The one exception where you do not have to pay the late-cancel lesson fee is inclement weather conditions.

Entela Jaupi is a professional violinist, performer, and teacher. She worked as a violinist in the Opera House in Tirana, Albania. Entela performed across prestigious European stages through cross-continental tours. After her move to the states, she studied with Hai Xin Wu, assistant concertmaster of the DSO. Her performances include many solo recitals in the metro-Detroit area and Canada, as well as performances with the BBSO, LSO, DSO, Grosse Point, Plymouth, etc. The venues she has performed at include DTE Theater, WFCU Center in Windsor, Madonna University, Plymouth Arts Center, and Cherry Hill Village. Her concerts include the legends Led Zeppelin, Josh Groban, and the Three Priests of Ireland. Entela has established a private studio in Livonia where she teaches lessons. In addition, she does numerous clinics and master classes in t
he districts of Livonia and Plymouth Canton and adjudicates throughout the Metro area.

My daughter took violin lessons with Mrs. Entela and she was a very productive teacher. My daughter advanced tremendously within a small amount of time and I was very impressed with how Mrs. Entela worked. Marvelous work!
