This is a great class for any aspiring musician, or any student, looking to gain some basic understanding of music. Hopefully, the student will gain some appreciation of music as well. The concrete foundations of music, rhythm, melody and harmony will all be discussed in detail. I've been teaching this class for about ten years and found it helps musicians with there own performance.

I started lessons with her right about the time COVID had started and our sessions have been done online. Over the course of a few months, I have felt and heard the improvement in my singing abilities through her guidance. So if you have any doubts about taking lessons online (ignoring the current situation), rest assured that you'll be in good hands with her. She will make sure you understand and fully grasp the concepts and techniques that she teaches you and how to apply them. Even if it takes hearing the most ridiculous analogy for you to comprehend it. Every lesson caters to what you're working on or need more assistance with. So every warm up or exercise has purpose. You also have the freedom of selecting the song you'd like to work on which makes the experience all the better and more personal.
I had developed bad singing habits after attempting to teach myself several times in the past. Like many others, I also hate the sound of my own voice. Moriah though has been patient as well as supportive and helped me undo those bad habits. She's also taught me to have better control, have stronger breath support, how to analyze the phrasing and pronunciation of a lyric, know proper resonance placement, and be more confident about my voice.
A big part of picking a coach or instructor is being able to connect with them and building a good rapport. Moriah has a welcoming and supportive personality, but knows the meaning of hard work and persistence and she will expect that in order for you to progress.
I have a ways to go until I reach where I would like to be in my journey of singing, but I chose Moriah and there have been no regrets.
Her lessons usually start of with a couple of stretches (usually just upper body). This is to help relax your body, jaw, mouth, etc before singing. Then she will do some vocal warms that at first seem pretty basic, and not intense, but they will help you in the long run! Trust me. Then she will practice with you a song you want to try to sing or need help with. As you progress, she will have you work on reading music and other skills. (Course, she is open to working on anything more or less as you need). Once again, your lesson is customized on what YOU need.
I’ve been working with her since July 2018. I know that I have improved on ear training immensely! I am able to pick up melodies much faster than before. I am able to sing more powerful than before which is something I struggle with consistently. She will push you! She will take you out of your comfort and push you to have confidence in yourself. She has a great personality. Kind. Fun. Energetic. Intelligent beyond her years. I’m continuing to take lessons with her until she makes me the next Beyoncé or something.
So I highly recommend her. Book a few lessons with her, attend them, don’t forget to take your water, and a recoding device, be responsible and take it serious because she is taking you serious. After all you’re paying for the lessons. You want to improve. And you will.
I’m looking forward to continue working with her and be stretched more.
