Music is a part of everyone's lives, and I believe the violin is one of the best instruments to make music. Also a challenging instrument, I am determined to help every student develop the necessary techniques and skills needed for violin playing. Especially with the current situation in the world, music is needed more than ever! I will strive to do what is best for each student, and I hope you will join me in making music.

I have played the violin for 20 years and taught violin for 7 years. I use the Suzuki method and the paschal method and then work into concertos and sonatas as students become advanced. During COVID I have found the convenience and success in online teaching. I absolutely love teaching violin and watching students become incredible musicians through hard work and consistency! It has been a great joy in my life!

Experienced teacher and concert violinist, works with beginner to advanced students. Graduate of Manhattan School of Music & Yale University. I help students become their own best teachers, develop their ear and learn a natural technique to communicate the music most effectively. Technique is applied in the context of the music, and students will learn to develop and apply their musical instincts and gain an organic understanding of musical style, history, theory, and performance.

Drawing from decades of study and growing up in a household of violinists, I have developed my teaching style from a composite of old school violin technique with modern pedagogy. My goal is to help my students achieve the focused sound they need to play whatever they aspire to.

With my expansive experience as a violinist in various genres/settings and my three years of teaching experience, I provide my students with a well-rounded and unique take on learning the violin. While I often start with classical music to get the students familiar with note reading, fundamental playing techniques, and basic music theory, I do take the time to get to know the students and their musical interests - thus tailoring my curriculum and repertoire choices towards the students' interests and goals. A specialty of mine is arranging pieces and songs from various genres for the violin based on the student's preferences and level of playing.

As a board-certified music therapist with a passion for mental health and well-being, another goal of mine is helping students develop a sense of self-compassion and patience as they learn their instrument and run into many bumps and blocks throughout their musical journey.
