Great teacher. Very patient and observant. He tells you where your strengths and weaknesses are and develops a plan to assist you in overcoming your weaknesses. My left hand is weak but the more I practice on the assignments the more I become confident in my success.

My son’s first lesson went really well! Mr. Charles was really accommodating - as we were running late and he patiently waited and completed our full first session. My son is already looking to his next lesson.

Lessons in Music Theory includes primarily aural skills (covering sight singing and rhythm reading, dictation, and keyboard applications) and sometimes covering fundamentals, form analysis, and counterpoint. About Hissael

I have been teaching and tutoring students for 6 years now. I teach math and guitar. The thing I love most about my teaching isn't the end result of a student's passing report card or a student's accomplishment of learning a difficult musical piece. It is the effort that takes place between the stu

"AMAZING!

I met Dave in my music theory class at Ex'pression college. He's the reason why I'm making music today. I went from not knowing a thing about music theory or a piano to creating chord progressions, understanding modes, intervals, modal interchange, and how to read sheet music. He's extremely patient, professional, and easy to get along with. His passion for music and teaching is infectious, I highly recommend!!!"

Music Student Face-Off: Memorizers vs. Readers | Which is Better?

As you learn songs and work through your music books, do you memorize the notes? Or do you read along every time you play? In this post, music teacher Vanessa G. discusses the pros and cons to the approaches...   Imagine your teacher gives you a piece of music to study. What's your process? Do you listen to a recording, memorizing the melody and the stylistic aspects before you begin, and then as you play? Or would you sit down and sight read the notes, and perfect it from that star …
