I can help you to better understand music theory through explanations that make sense to you. Everything you want to know will be introduced to you at your own pace even if you don't have a clear idea of what theory concepts you'd like to know. I have taken quite a few theory classes including the more advanced subjects like form and analysis and counterpoint, even some composition and arrangement independent studies. Theory can seem esoteric to some and I myself even thought so at first, but through practice and experience I have learned to appreciate it. Let's learn in a way that works for you!

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I met Dave in my music theory class at Ex'pression college. He's the reason why I'm making music today. I went from not knowing a thing about music theory or a piano to creating chord progressions, understanding modes, intervals, modal interchange, and how to read sheet music. He's extremely patient, professional, and easy to get along with. His passion for music and teaching is infectious, I highly recommend!!!"

Ms. Wilma's enthusiasm for life and music shines through in her instrumental playing and teaching style. She shows a strong proficiency in many music genres and can teach different kinds of musical instruments.
She's reliable, experienced, professional, and easy to be around. One of her main strengths is her ability to convey musical thoughts in a way that is meaningful, constructive and easily understood.
I really enjoyed how she have enriched my ability to think about musical concepts, discuss theories in music, and listen to different types of music."
We've only had one lesson but I've learned more with him than I did with an adult self teaching piano book.
So far, very good."

She is a true pleasure to be around. To hear her play is a blessing. She has it all:
personality and musically. We are blooking forward to many more lessons to come."

I'm very grateful for her dedication to the art of music. Anyone who is looking for a caring instructor; look no further than Ms. Christine."
