About Gabriel
As a Student you will find that learning to play and sing can be fun and easy. I always make my lessons enjoyable and I add humor, games and other instruments to enhance your learning experience.
I am both a musician and song writer. I have a great time teaching and work great with both Children and adults. I love it when working with people and that "Light" comes on when they realize "I really learned something." I live for those moments.

The lessons I teach are fun and educational. No matter who you are I am able to teach you.
I do not teach traditional piano. Why? Because most people are unable to play this style due to issues with eye hand coordination. The Method I teach "Chord Percussion Style" teaches a strong foundation in piano basics backed by a Strong Music Theory base. I have yet to find anyone who has not been able to learn with this method.
For voice I teach natural voice as opposed to Head Voice. This allows the student to learn to sing in a solo or group setting. You will be amazed at the difference a few adjustments can make in your voice. So as you continue your lessons with us you will see constant improvement.
On top of Voice and Piano I can help you learn to write your own music. Using the theory that you use you will learn to start to piece music together.
Guitar lessons start with Rhythm Guitar and then move into solos, scales, Barre chords, "Shredding" and more.
Drums we start with basic drumming techniques and move into rock, Latin and more beats and fills.
Theater and performance classes include audition prep, career path and we help you set up a portfolio including a resume and headshots for any auditions.

*** Specialties ***

My music theory background has always helped me progress with my guitar playing and song writing. I can give you the tools to help you understand how music works, which will allow you to make further progress on your own.
Again, we can start from whatever your current knowledge is. if you don't know what a key signature or a scale is, I can give you a basic understanding by lesson two. From there we can move on to deciphering chord patterns and working with more complex scales and modes.

I have been teaching music for 22 years. I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I presently teach music at 3 schools (1 college) and only have a few lessons slots available. I look forward to working with you.
