Just starting lessons with Matt, but he seems very to have great knowledge about how to teach students to grow in their vocal skills. He is very enthusiastic and positive, but honest in his assessment of skills which is important to vocalists who truly WANT to improve their skills. The initial lesson experiences have been really beneficial. Looking forward to continuing lessons with Matt!

My first lesson was great. Mr. Paul was very patient and judged my skill level before making a lesson plan. Initially I was nervous, because I have never taken lessons before, but that quickly went away. I can definitely tell that he knows his stuff when it comes to teaching. He a great teacher and conversationalist.

Paul was very pleasant. He thoroughly explained things to my daughter in a manner that she could understand. He listened to her play and they also played together.

This was her first flute lesson with Paul, but she's already looking forward to the next lesson.

Sarah was energetic, positive, and kind with my daughter, age 11, who was really struggling to get a handle on a song for a play she has been trying to train for. This was her first voice lesson ever. My daughter was drawn in immediately by Sarah’s practical and happy approach and felt more capable and comfortable at the end of the session and is definitely looking forward to the next one. Hard to ask for more than that in a first lesson!

I've studied music theory both in college and on my own, and I can vouch firsthand for the value of learning theory.

When you understand how music works, you'll dramatically expand your musical horizons. You'll be able to create more complex and nuanced pieces of music, and your ability to communicate your ideas to other musicians will be much better than you ever thought possible.

My students learn chord theory, scale theory, modes, and more, in a way that's easy to understand and apply.

About Rick

Hi. My name is Rick, I'd love to teach you to play the guitar. I have 15 years teaching experience and offer lessons tailor-made to your individual musical goals and interests. You'll be surprised at how easy and fun learning the guitar can be.
