Guitar lessons are fun for all ages, styles and levels. I'd love to help you learn to play the songs that YOU love on the guitar! Beginners are encouraged to apply. You'll have fun while reaching your musical goals. In addition to learning great songs, you'll learn improvisation and applied music theory. Also, I'll enjoy assisting the you in creating a practice regimen that fits in your time schedule.

I have been teaching guitar for over 13 years! I cover all playing styles and all guitar-intensive genres including: blues, jazz, rock, classical, pop, and folk. Curriculum is always student-specific.

Guitar is my primary instrument and I can teach it in a variety of styles and with a variety of techniques. I'm comfortable playing with a pick or my fingers and playing in genres from rock to jazz.

I also teach various forms of slide guitar:
Slide (Bottleneck) for the standard guitar, Lap-style Dobro (Open G Tuning), Lap Steel Non-Pedal 6 String Electric Guitar (C6 Tuning), and 10 String Pedal Steel Guitar (E9 Tuning).

Guitar teacher available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of guitar skills. I specialize in pop, indie rock, and reggae.

I teach both Acoustic and Electric Guitar. I am also well-versed in the experimental range of Prepared Guitar, use of Electronic Effects and unique approaches in Improvisation - both Standard and Experimental. I can teach using a pick, fingers, eBow, feedback etc. I can also teach Music Theory, Harmony and 12-tone Composition. Creativity and Learning by Ear is Encouraged.

With each one of my students, I take into account how much time they are willing to practice, what genres interest them, and what learning style works best (for example, I've found that music theory makes things click faster for some people and saps all the enjoyment out of learning an instrument for others). I then come up with a structured lesson plan that is specifically catered to their needs.
