Music Theory is the backbone of music, the building blocks that help us to understand how musical notes and rhythms work together. Lessons in Music Theory can help you to better understand every musical instrument, and will provide an internal sense of order and structure for the sounds that we hear. Learn to make sense of every line, dot, dash, and squiggle on a piece of sheet music, as well as the elements of harmony, melody, rhythm, dynamics, articulation, and phrasing.

Voice lessons are tough. This isn't like a golf swing where someone can show you physically what to do or reach out and position your elbows where they need to be.
This all has to be articulated by a teacher, and is has to be articulated to someone (YOU) who doesn't even know what parts you're trying to move around.
It takes a great teacher. Eulis is a GREAT teacher. He gave me physical descriptions, character descriptions, accent descriptions, … everything I needed to position everything where it needed to be, even when I didn't always know where it was.
A lot of progress and a lot of fun. Thank you, Eulis.

I will help you to understand music theory as it applies to your specific instrument. Additionally, we will look at information regarding instruments you may work with. We're not looking at orchestrating a symphony and will not learn erroneous information. This is focused on developing the knowledge necessary for mastery of your instrument or instruments and bringing more to you creatively. It also serves to give you the real world ability to communicate with other musicians who work with a different instrument.

Tim is an excellent, patient and caring instructor. I am a brand new guitar owner from a rural area in North Dakota. I was looking for a guitar teacher but all required a 30-60 minute drive. I found Tim through the Betterfly website and have taken several lessons through Skype. It has been a great experience that I would recommend to anyone from beginner on up"
