William is a fantastic violin teacher! He is so willing to help me play the music that I am interested in playing rather than having his own agenda :) William's lessons are really fun, and his own enthusiasm for the violin really inspires me to practice.

I use the Suzuki Violin Method and the ABCs of Violin Method, but am willing to work with other method books as well. I have developed extensive supplemental resources that I'll use with any curriculum.

I also work with orchestra/band students to help them succeed, usually taking a break from the method books to focus on that season's music.

I can prepare you for contests and auditions, help you work in a small or large ensemble, grow you as a soloist, or help you learn a new style.

Beginning students will gain a solid grasp of all the "essentials": basic theory, sight reading skills, counting, and technique. As soon as you have these, you have a lot of freedom with what you want to work on!

I take kids, adults, and teens. I have experience teaching kids with disabilities including Down's syndrome, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and more.

Have you ever wanted to play violin, but never knew where to start? Do you have trouble learning correct technique, practice strategies, or struggle finding good repertoire to learn? Well, you've come to the right place!

I am a young and passionate teacher, committed to helping you improve on your instrument and achieve your goals! Many students comment on my patience, communication skills, and flexibility as a teacher.

In our first lesson, I will likely ask you to demonstrate your level to me, either by telling me or showing me what you know. I will use this to better understand your strengths and weaknesses and go from there. You can expect to come away from our first lesson with some learning materials, a plan for going forward, and an encouraging start to our journey as musicians together!

Some examples of things students can learn from me include: expanding repertoire, ear training, music reading, improvising, jamming, music theory, and technique.

"Will is encouraging, insightful, and patient! My very first violin lesson couldn't have gone better. There was helpful critiquing and a fair amount of pats on the back when it came to small victories. For a beginner like myself, that kept my morale on the up and up. Will carries a positive and understanding attitude which makes me eager for our next lesson!"

We didn't miss a beat with the virtual lesson, I felt it was as good if not better than any face to face lesson. We would highly recommend Mr. Eugene for violin (or piano), his extensive music knowledge and experience added an invaluable foundation to the instruction. Thank you!"
