Music Theory is just like grammar - the grammar of music. Don't let that scare you! Studying at the Mannes School of Music (a conservatory notorious for its very intense Music Theory classes) I have learned great strategies for tackling its difficulty. I will break down complex chordal harmony or counterpoint and give simple steps in order for you to completely understand the material. Or maybe you have no background in Music Theory - that is great too! I can start simply with learning how to reading music. A good foundation is very necessary! :)
I am able to teach Music Theory at 4 locations:
- Home Studio
- West 13th Street (Mannes School of Music)
- Your Home
- Online

He is also extremely patient, making sure I understood the initial concepts before moving on to more complex topics. I just wouldn't recommend him for any last minute cramming: as he does like to take his time to provide a quality learning experience rather than just reviewing and memorizing."
