My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

Experienced violin teacher of 5 years specializing in beginner/intermediate students!  All ages welcome.  Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student.  Not only will you be playing music in no time, but you will be building a foundation of note reading, music theory, sight reading, and technique.  Let's get started!

Violin is a complex art, one that takes many years to develop, but can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life. Despite its challenges, love for the violin and music should never take a back seat in a lesson, That is what I will focus on. Nevertheless, there are methods and techniques crucial to violin playing that I will also keep at the forefront. At the end of the day, students have their own unique voice that I will try to nurture while at the same time teach them the fundamental tools to achieve it. Whether just starting out or already playing for many years, I will strive to do what is best for the student. There is a potential in every person to be truly great at any one thing. All it takes is hard work and honest determination, with determination being the most important. Because where determination comes, hard work follows naturally.
I hope to inspire my students to really love making music and being creative with their instruments. I can give my students all the information in the world and tips on how to improve at violin playing, but in the end it will not matter if the student has no desire to improve. And that is why I love to teach- inspiring students to love what they do!
