I've taught people who were just beginning violin (both children and adults) to students who were working on major concertos. What is most important to me as a teacher is that the student connect with the music and their instrument by being creative and personalizing my approach for the student. I also strongly strive to make performers out of violinists and to help them engage both audiences and themselves.
About Ha-eun
I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 20 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory and an MM at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestras, per

Have you been playing for a long time, or have you never picked up the instrument before? Whether you are a child or an adult, I have a style of teaching for you. I've been playing since I was a child and have a special place in my heart for the is instrument. I actually began learning from a fiddle player and trained classically later. If you want to learn how to succeed in playing this rewarding and satisfying style, this is the place for you.
Are wondering why every time you hit a certain note, it squeaks, or crunches, or sounds glassy? Or maybe you can't quite read the notes. Perhaps you are no stranger to the instrument, but need improvement of musicianship, expression, etc. Let me help you master the skills you're trying to achieve. With my help, you can make breathtaking music!
About Kimberly
I grew up in a household of 9 where music was always center stage. We would sing as a family in different venues and were often called the VonTrapp family. I have enjoyed singing and performing from a young age. I began studying flute at age 8, after scoring highest in the harmony listening exam an

The violin showcases a player's talent more than any other instrument, some say. It's the hardest instrument of them all, others say. Whatever your goals, I am happy to play a role in your musical journey with this instrument. Follow a classical, traditional method of my own development that incorporates the most common repertoire sought after in festivals, auditions for orchestras, and auditions for colleges.

I am an experienced teacher of 16 years! I thrive on finding each student's specific learning style and cultivating a positive and productive learning experience within that. I apply consistent and focused energy in getting my students to strive for their best, and I aim to inspire them to respond in turn with the same focused and accurate effort.
I teach using a modified Suzuki method. This means that, while I do subscribe to Suzuki's "mother tongue" approach, I also believe that education on an instrument requires literacy from a young age. I have discovered in my years of teaching that an early ability to read notes and understand musical theory and form is not a handicap to a student's development, but rather a benefit to the student gaining a richer, fuller understanding of their instrument and music in general.
I believe that every person can be taught, that parental involvement is crucial in the development of musicians from a young age through the high school years, and ...

I have been playing viola for 17 years and teaching violin, viola, and cello for 8 years. I graduated from the University of West Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance - Viola. My viola instructor was Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy, current and former concert master of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
While earning my degree, I also learned how to play violin and cello and am able to teach them up to an intermediate level.
My teaching ideology is that ANYONE can learn an instrument at any age. I have taught students as young as 4 and as old as 65! Many adult students of mine have expressed difficulty and even shame in trying to find a teacher for them who would take them on, simply because they were starting as an adult.
We don't have to train for the symphony (unless you want to!); your goals are my goals and I will help you reach them!

It is one thing to simply teach and quite another to develop children into talented musicians. Cara understands children, she is extremely knowledgeable about music and incredibly talented at being more than just a teacher, She provides not only a lesson but helps children to see the possibilities of music and was a tremendous help to me to better understand how to guide my children's musical aspirations. I consider her one of the most talented individuals that I have ever known and would not hesitate to have my children enrolled as one of her students."

Any time you learn a new skill, you will probably make some mistakes when you're starting out. Making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process, but be careful not to let an error become a habit. For violinists, this is especially important, as each skill and new piece of music that you learn will build upon the things you have just learned. These 7 common violin mistakes might be holding you back from reaching your full potential as a musician. Whether you are a beginner or you …
