There are several aspects to performance that I can help a guitarist with. The chief one is solo performance and improvisation which I have taught many students even kids in school bands who need to improvise in the jazz band and don't know how. Another aspect is how to use a guitar amp properly at higher show/concert volumes as far as tone settings and use of effects. Makes a huge difference when you know the insider "secrets". So you can even bring your amp for an "amp lesson".

My goal as a voice teacher is to create a positive environment in my studio where my students can reach all of the goals that they set out to achieve. It is important for my students to feel a warm, welcoming atmosphere, where they can make mistakes, take risks, and ask questions. The art of singing is a whole-body experience and it is essential for students to train and practice like an athlete would train for a high-level event. I encourage my students to do some sort of physical activity that has an emphasis on the abdominal muscles (i.e. yoga, pilates, tai chi, weight routine), so that they feel what it is like to use the whole body as well as strengthen their core muscles. This directly relates to an appoggio based breath support, which is the technique I utilize in my own singing and in my studio. I teach my students to use their entire body when they sing. I believe that students should practice physicality with gestures, so they can get connected to their whole body and ...

I have listed my specialties below, but really whatever type of vocal performance that you're interested in, no matter the genre I try to give you a solid foundation to do whatever you'd like to do. And to have fun while doing it hopefully.
About Nicole
As a voice teacher and voice coach, I strive to help the student get to where they want to be vocally. For me, singing is something that brings me joy and I hope to be able to share that with you. It took me a while to realize how much music and singing means to me. While studying something en

The most important element of becoming a musician is learning to play musically. As I lead my college students into a music profession, I remind them that I am primarily teaching them to be musicians who perform musically through their chosen instrument. This is what sets performs apart and I can help you become a better musician on saxophone, clarinet or any other instrument.
I have taught saxophone to beginning and advance students, from age 10 to college level students studying to be music educators as well as adults and every age. I also have 30 years experience teaching both privately and as a band director. I know the curriculum and techniques to help you efficiently and effectively reach your goals.

I would highly recommend Bill! He is such a great player and teacher! He has helped enormously with my saxophone playing, clarinet playing, and improvising.
Since my saxophone playing is already fairly advanced. In our lessons on saxophone focus heavily on advanced jazz improvisation topics, like standard tunes, and transcription. He is so knowledgeable on these advanced topics but is really great at showing me the basics so that I can learn at my own level and pace.
On clarinet Bill and I work on more classical studies and instrument technique to get my clarinet playing more on track.
Bill is such a patient and motivating teacher. It is clear that he cares deeply about MY SUCCESS in music. He has helped me feel good about my musical progress and inspired me to work harder!
He has even given me lots of great music business advice, and helped me think about what I want out of music in my life.
Bill is so easy to get along with and is really careful to explain things in a way that I can understand them.
Its been really awesome getting to know and work with him!"

Tim was a super awesome guitar teacher! Not only did he teach me a lot of riffs but was also a super nice guy. I recommend him to anyone trying to further their talent with guitar!!"
