I studied music theory at the Rhode Island School of Modern Music, at the Mannes Conservatory of Music in Manhattan, and at the Reuben Conservatory, in Jerusalem, Israel.
My background in theory is primarily in jazz, which uses some slightly different terminology than classical theory, but mostly applies to all styles, especially as pertains to beginning theory.

About Linda
*** Travel Equipment ***
I do not typically provide any equipment - but I am willing to select and purchase books for the students to learn from (cost of books to be reimbursed by the student/parent) when requested to do so.

I am also willing to provide stick-on note-names for the keyboard, for young children.

The students must have their own instruments, and provide a folder for sheet music and notes/instructions.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar, I specialize in the following styles: jazz, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and children's songs.
Piano: I prefer electronic keyboard to acoustic piano, but am happy to teach beginning students on a regular piano as well. I teach note-reading, playing by ear, and theory, with en emphasis on rock, pop, and folk music. I include arranging, chord theory, and use of the many features of an elec
tronic keyboard, in the lessons.
Bass Guitar: I teach rock, pop, funk, and country music on bass.
Banjo: I teach bluegrass, country, and some blues and rock music. I also play and teach old-timey frailing/clawhammer style.

I tutor students for music theory on a regular basis. I served as a teaching assistant for the entire duration of my studies at California Institute of the Arts. If you are struggling with grasping the concepts of music theory I can help break it down for you!

About Linda
I sing and play guitar, piano, and bass. I hold two music degrees, one from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and another from California Institute of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts in Music as a Performer-Composer.

Since my early life, I have had an immense passion for music that continues to thrive today. I have participated in some songwriting competitions including the Canada Music Week Writing Competition in which I achieved second place for one of my compositions. I write music from a variety of genres some of which include jazz, rock, metal, and experimental music.

I have a very good computer technology background since I used to be a computer technician. In addition to instrumental and voice lessons I can also help you with home recording and songwriting/composition.

I have experience tutoring high school students in preparation for their college music theory placement exam, which includes an assessment of their musical theory knowledge, including writing scales/chords/intervals, rhythmic study, writing figured bass, various music terminology, etc.

About Beth
In May 2011, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's Degree in Music and a minor in Business Management. Music has been my passion since before I started taking piano lessons in third grade and there was an innate desire to master the keys. At age fifteen, I taught myself how to play guitar and started writing songs. In 2013, I became a published songwriter when my songs were produced on my church's Christmas Album ("Who Is This King?").

I have been teaching private piano lessons part-time from my home in Colleyville for seven years, and have instructed over 140 students. My students range from young beginners to intermediate and advanced students, to beginner and moderate adults. Teaching is my greatest passion, whether it's of the classical genre, theory mastery, or equipping a student to use their gifts in worsh
ip. I have been blessed to be teaching full-time since January 2017, and it has been a dream come true to be able to invest all my time and energy into the precious gifts of my students.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I will be happy to discuss. I believe with you that you'll find just the right instructor to impart to your family!

I have studied in depth in jazz, classical and contemporary music theory, and have been teaching for over 17+ years in this area.

About Dave
I own a local music/art/production institution which hosts lessons for many instruments and artistic pursuits. Personally, I've been teaching for over 17 years, and I teach beginner to advanced students in instruments like guitar, bass, piano/keys, voice, and drums, and depending on your needs, our studio offers a variety of professional teachers that teach all woodwind, brass, and stringed instruments.

I also am an online teacher for a the world's biggest web platform for guitar instruction, and teach lessons alongside those in Berklee alumni, Musician's Institute, as well with many very famous artists that are now in the music business.

Though I've had the fortune to work with some of the best in studios, as a songwriter, and player, and in education, both professional and informal, I love to teach entry level players up through
the intermediate levels the most. I enjoy watching people discover things for the first time, and in my teaching I really do my best to craft my lessons to the needs of the students. My primary aim in teaching is that I would cultivate in my students a love for music and learning. With these two things in place, a student can go on to be and learn anything.

Join me and my studio. We'll have a great time, and we'll get you to your goals while we're enjoying the journey of music together!!

Music theory is the basis for all things musical. A student will learn the rules, but I will not force a student to be confined by the rules. Rather, a student will use these rules to their own advantage so that they may excel in real world situations and not just for a grade for a class.

About Jeremy
I am a college student working towards my music education degree. Helping students achieve their musical goals has always been extremely important to me. When I teach I prefer to focus on expanding a Student's musical ability rather than focus on a specific piece, however if there is a piece a student wants to learn I will surely be very willing to help.

My goal as a teacher is to give you the facility to express yourself through music. The key parts to developing this facility are:

1. theory -- if you know your theory, you know the best way to express your idea without having to think about it
2. technique -- the last thing you want is for your technique to hinder your ability to express your idea. Having good technique lets your ideas flow naturally

When you take lessons with me, you get out of it what you put in. Your job as student is to be honest with what you expect to achieve and my job as teacher is to give you the tools to achieve it

About David
I am a bass player first, not a guitarist who also teaches bass. Students will learn technique, theory and groove from a teacher who understands that as bass players, we are in a unique position. Since bass is both a harmony and rhythm instrument we have the opportunity to develop into leaders in a way other instrumentalists don't. I will encourage students interested in exploring this aspect of their instrument

I have a degree in jazz performance from The Ohio State University and have played in numerous rock, jazz and off-broadway bands over the last 20 years. Now playing is something I do primarily for fun and my #1 goal is always that my students have as much fun playing as I do

David is a fantastic bassist. Every time I play with David, I am amazed how he plays solid groove and touching lines. He has good ear too, so it’s truly enjoyable to interplay with him.
Very contributive, patient, and friendly. David brought me a lot of ideas and consideration in detail. Nice guy!!

David is fantastic. He is very smart and his formal education in music shines through in his teachings. He teaches the proper foundational techniques which may be harder to adopt initially but without it, advancement to high level playing is much more difficult and time consuming. David's direct teaching style creates very efficient sessions and maximum progression. David has the right balance of formal music education to ensure proper technique, and his personal band side project to ensure that you are enjoying the process since that's what's most important.
