Connor is so easy to work with, extremely knowledgable, and motivating! My son really enjoys the lessons and interacting with Connor. My son has been randomly picking up his guitar to try things from the lessons which a is a huge improvement from the last time we tried lessons. I attribute that to Connor's instructions and passion for what he does. He is also punctual and a good communicator. I highly recommend Connor as an instructor, especially for kids!

Experience - Education - Patience
I have taught guitar lessons since 1992. Guitar is my main instrument, and I have played for well over 30 years. I have also studied voice, piano, and composition. Styles of performance have included blues, classical, funk, grunge, jazz, metal, and rock. I've performed solo, in bands, small ensembles, and even with orchestras.

Most of all, I'm a father to two wonderful young ladies who challenge me to grow in ways I could never have imagined. They give me patience.

"I have been taking lessons from Lorin for ove 3 years now and every week opens a new door. Lorin is a “musician” not just a guitar teacher. He can teach you what YOU want to learn! He’s patient, knowledgeable and an overall excellent teacher. He’s written his own songs, he can learn a new song in a matter of minutes, which I have challenged him with some of my fav “oldies, folk’ country” and he will have it down in a heart beat. Often we use my lesson time to just “jam” on the song I’m presently learning, which is an excellent way to pull it all together. He has also helped me with vocals and I’m amazed at the progress I’ve made, “never knew I could would that good”!"

"Today Remi taught me how to get a clearer sound on my guitar. This was VERY useful for me, so that I can sound good when I play, as I play guitar for other people sometimes. Great work, Remi! Great lesson!"

"I am a self-taught guitar player and played in a band for 3 years when I was in high school. I'm originally from Arizona and when I moved to San Jose I was looking to get back into playing guitar a bit more now that I was done with college. Except this time, I wanted more formal training. I had homework to do every week, which was awesome because it gave me an excuse to jam out on my guitar more often. Even though I had been playing guitar for years, the lessons were very challenging and I still felt as though I had much more to learn. Also, you immediately feel inspired to practice more once you hear Ahmad shred on his guitar. This guy plays the crap out of that thing! Plus, he has a wide variety of musical background so you get to learn genres you never thought you'd enjoy playing (i.e. Blues). Overall it was an awesome experience and I would definitely recommend Ahmad lessons to all of my friends looking to play guitar."
