Performance skills are arguably as important as music prowess. The student needs to learn how to find the balance between confidence and vulnerability on stage. Since I had horrific stage fright myself, I very successfully guide students through the nerves of inexperience to the joy of confidence (which rarely comes from preparation alone!)
About Toni

The class is for students who have at least some basic knowledge of piano and music theory. Music performance can be thought of as a workshop class to radically improve the performing skills of the student. I will focus on specific techniques which will help the student perform more effectively. Most pieces contain nuances that are nearly-impossible to hear and notice with an untrained ear; however, these small details are what differentiate a great performance from a good one. If you have a specific piece in mind that you would like to work on, please let me know when you book your lesson so that I can prepare the appropriate materials for our session.

Jill is a colleague and friend that I've known for many years. She is a wonderful violinist and one of the most experienced violin teachers of students of all ages that one can find. Especially gifted in working with young children, Jill is extraordinary in her ability to connect with kids. She sets her students up with beautiful violin technique and inspires in each one a love for music. Jill is a wonderfully kind person with so much talent for playing and teaching violin. She comes highly recommended by anyone who has known and worked with her!"

With all of the music teachers in LA and the world, it is difficult to choose the best. With Fawn, I believe 100% that I have found the best. She is well educated, well rounded and versed in all the musical styles, up on the latest musical trends, yet knows the composers, songwriters and vocalists of yesteryears. She is passionate, fun, compassionate, patient, loving, kind and has a college degree from the 2 top music schools in the world. She has a thorough understanding of music theory, performance, voice, piano and the many ins and outs of the music industry. She is able to teach her students the theory behind the songs they are learning to play, sing, write and record. She is great at sharing the musical journey with her students, guiding them with honesty, tender care and knowledge. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds with Fawn and absolutely loves her. Sheâs helped change her voice into her authentic voice, taught her how to get over stage fright, how to turn her poems into song lyrics and how to produce her own vocals in the recording studio. She is quite simply, the best."
Stephen is a great teacher, actor, and singer, in addition to being a wonderful guy. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in any of his varied services."
