I'm Ahmad a very enthusiastic musician. I started out teaching myself guitar at the age of 12. I moved to the U.S. in 2001 and studied music for 15 years receiving my B.M. and M.M in music and audio production at San Francisco State University. I then moved to Los Angeles then studied and trained with John Mayer, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Lynch and many others. I have performed hundreds of concerts in the U.S. as well in Europe and the Middle East with Artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Michael Angelo Batio, Ratt, Sammy Hagar, Dokken and many others. I ranked #1 in the Slash Guitar Center competition. I was in the "list of top 5 guitar players ever" according to The Examiner, also picked as one of the best guitarists of 2013 and 2014 consecutively in the Rockwell UnScene magazine, and ranked 3rd in the Steve Vai Sam Ash Best in Shred competition.

I began taking singing lessons with Ahmad from an online coupon and had a great time. My guitar playing got consistently and measurably better and I felt like I was given quality instruction at the lesson as well as good ideas for practicing at home.

Ahmad is laid back and friendly and a great instructor. Thank you!

Nicholas has been teaching my daughter vocal lessons for about 11 months and he’s fantastic!

She’s improved so much in 10 months! He’s awesome and delivers results! My daughter enjoys her lessons with him and she’s just 9 years old and has developed so much due to his mentor ship. My daughter also has an aptitude for singing and tends to catch on to his instructions quickly.

About Jeremy

I began playing guitar by ear around age ten. I learned rock songs from records for a few years, and then I began a more serious study of theory in high school. Over the next several years I alternated between pursuing my music degree and playing in bands all over the midwest. In 2004, I transferre

My son has been getting guitar lessons from Jeremy for about six months. My son is really enjoying learning to play and he looks forward to his lessons with Jeremy! Jeremy is a wonderful teacher. He's knowledgeable, intelligent, professional and easy going. Jeremy is not the first teacher that my son has had but he's by far the best. I feel very fortunate to have found him!

I learned so much from Jeremy over about 4 years of lessons. He listened to my goals, and tailored his lessons to help me achieve them. From the fundamentals to more advanced skills, such as improvisation, he stuck with me and allowed me to develop my own voice on the guitar.
Chris
I'm a total beginner on the guitar. Watched a few youtube vids, learned some basics, but working in-person with Jeremy I've progressed a LOT faster. Worth the investment!

My whole method book starts and ends with listening and ear training and rhythmic work and playing. In the end, if you really are serious, you need to know ALL the nuts and bolts.
Music theory is essential if you want to take it to a high level. But it's not hard.

Why? You see, when you were a kid, you talked before you could read and write, correct? So we learn the fun stuff, listening and playing first and then you easily grasp the theory of music. And we make sure you get it all so you are a well-rounded pro.

Oh, and you will have had so much fun that you will actually still be studying music instead of having quit because you were bombarded with paper at too young an age!

The English language has 26 letters. Music has 5 lines and 4 spaces. Piece of cake!

Randy is an outstanding teacher. I started out with zero singing experience and was scared to sing anything in public. Thanks to Randy's instruction and guidance, I recently song a song (while I played guitar) for family for the first time in my life. In addition to being a fantastic teacher, Randy is an all around great guy. Highly recommended!

This review is waaaay over do. When I was begginer singer Randy was the first teacher to break down to me why my goals were more than realistic and set a new standard for what I felt a instrument coach should be. So here we go.

Randy is every creative, spontaneous, disorganized person's dream come true. Someone who helps you build the connection to your imagination to create whatever music you want in reality. He understands the common misconceptions people have that cripple their creativity and he will get you out that box really fast. Randy works to educate you and give you tools to where you don't need him. That's how much love this teacher has for his students. There is a lot of potential people have that they miss out on because they don't have the right teacher. So going to list some specifics.

1) If your a begginer artist rather if sing or have a different instrument your trying to improve with, know if you start with Randy you will be in GREAT hands. Music theory in general can be confusing but its the foundation any serious artist needs to understand to create their own music. Randy is great with explaining and helping you understand whatever area your struggling with.

2) Randy is all about organization and helping you set the right goals. Alot of your visions and ideas as a artist can be all over the place and knowing where to start can be overwhelming. First session you will be leaving with a game plan that will not fail so long as you do your homework.

3) For the singers who don't think they can sing certain songs know that Randy is very talented in making music. He can put any song you want to sing in your own range and is all about you sounding like you. He will help you discover what chords and melodies sound good with your voice. This is very important because again you get out of that limited box holding back your creativity.

4) This is the most important thing. Accountability.
Randy will make it very clear to you with everything he gives you that its on you to practice these things. He doesn't do a half job and he is thorough. He is the kind of professional you need to work with and I promise if you do book with him you will not look at alot of other teachers the same. He is worth every penny!

So in conclusion if you want to sing well or make your own tunes in no time, Randy is the man you need to talk to. All you gotta be is disciplined and do your homework. This teacher makes it fun and exciting.

I really like to cater to what each individual student wants to learn. I prefer focusing on learning songs in addition to doing "bookwork", especially initially. I feel like its my job as a teacher to first make music fun first, and then introduce and refine concepts about technique, theory, etc. in a way that works for each unique student. I really try to encourage a student's curiosity about music. I like getting outside of the box; talking about for instance, the physics of sound, or the history of composition during a lesson. I am a huge theory nerd, and I really try to introduce those concepts in a way that is both easy to grasp and more practical than what you might take away from the typical 8am college course. I really try and go where the student wants to, whether that be guiding them thru some songwriting or learning a classic Richie Blackmore solo.

About Timothy

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I live for music, and love the opportunity to share that joy with others. I've toured all across the US and Europe, both as a guitarist and a sound engineer. I've also worked as a session guitarist since the age of 16. I'm fluid in a number of different genre

Our 9 year old son has been getting guitar lessons from Tim for the last 2 years and we couldn’t be happier. Tim was very patient with him as a beginner and kept it simple until he learned the basics. He does a great job of relating to the kids and making it fun for them while educating them on technique through their progression. Our son really looks forward to going to lessons and can’t thank Tim enough for his instruction and mentorship to our little Rockstar!
Aidyn
Love Tim. He teaches what the student is ready to learn which has kept me interested in guitar lessons for the past 2 years. No workbooks. He encourages me to try any new song I want. Sometime I ask for a lesson in music theory, song writing, or a little piano. He’s just a cool guy and very relatable.

I am able to to teach music theory from the very beginning up until post-tonal theory. I specialize in teaching beginners with basics like recognizing all key signatures/circle of fifths, solfege, reading in different clefs, intervals, triads, and different types of scales. However, I am an experienced tutor in many levels of theory and can most certainly be of help for homework assignments and creating exercises to understand different concepts.

I am an undergraduate senior at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor studying piano performance and philosophy. I have strong passions for critical thinking, piano pedagogy, chamber music, and contemporary music. I recently won first place in the Camerata Artists International Virtuoso II Competi

Ellen is very thorough in her teaching method, while being super encouraging and patient! She incorporates elements of music theory, technique, and musicality naturally throughout the lesson. On top of that, I also like her ability to customize her teaching approach to help me accomplish my goals!

Ellen is great at teaching both my daughter and myself. Very friendly, personable and understands the piano and classical repertoire at a high level. She’s really helped me with my fundamentals and music theory. My daughter (who is much better than I) mainly studies classical music with her and I love to hear her progress. Ellen is warm and accommodating and I’d recommend her to anyone!
