Make the violin easy! My lessons will help you play the violin with fluency, so that you can have more fun making music!

I am offering violin lessons, both online and at students' places! Whether you have no music experience at all or have some violin experience, I can help you improve technique and musicality by working on exercises and various pieces of music. Not only do I draw from my experience studying music and taking private lessons since childhood, but I also tailor my lessons to meet each student’s individual learning style and interests.

I've been teaching violin for over 25 years and my students have gone on to play in youth orchestras, attend PMEA and ASTA events or go to college as a music major. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to improve your playing skills and as time goes on you'll be able to play at a more advanced level. I specialize in Traditional Classical violin, typically use Essential Elements 2000, Samuel Applebaum methods, Suzuki methods and traditional scales and etude books. I have the following tools available for your lessons: Metronome, Tuner, rosin and my music library. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I teach everything from beginner to advanced, basics to shifting, vibrato, theory, and technique. I teach classical, religious, fiddle, and pop. I also teach group ensembles, trios, quartets, etc. I help students with their school orchestral music and audition pieces also.

Having taught and performed for over 30 years, I have had the pleasure of working with students of all levels and ages. For beginning students, you can expect to be playing and learning to read music within your first month of taking lessons. I am happy to say that my intermediate and advanced students have met goals of preparing for auditions with success, performance events, and simply studying new technique and repertoire for their own pleasure.
