What a joy Mariel is. So patient and understanding, puts up with my bad jokes, terrible playing and allows me to go where I want to go with the material.
I can not speak highly enough about her, but I will say I don't think any one could be better than she is.
Thanks for putting up with me Mariel

Having had experience in Australian Symphony Orchestras and ensembles, Peter has the passion and expertise to take you as far as you want to go

About Peter
I began piano lessons at four years of age, and was blessed to have an amazing piano teacher, who taught me for 14 years. She gave me a passion to teach others and impart to them a love for music. I have carried on that calling and taught hundreds of adults and children over the last 30 years. I am very thorough in my method and customize each lesson around the goals and dreams of each student. I incorporate theory, ear training and technical into all my lessons, regardless of the style of music they are learning. This gives my students an all-round musical education and appreciation for this wonderful gift they have in their hands.

I have experience in the professional music world as a pianist and french horn player, performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera Chorus and Orchestra, Sydney Sinfonia, Sydney Philharmo
nic Orchestra and Choir, as well as productions of "Cats", "Phantom of the Opera", Sesame Street, and touring all over Australia, U.S.A. and Israel. I have also been a part of the worship teams at Hillsong Church and C3 Church Australia.

I studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and also received my Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in French Horn (Teaching) and Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in Piano (Performance). So my experience not only comes from an inspiring teacher, but also from hundreds of performances on stages across the world working with the finest of musicians, singers, conductors and worship leaders.

I love music, and more so, love imparting it to others.

*** Lesson Details ***
Students come away from their lessons inspired and excited about their ability to accomplish their dreams. Whether it is to play 'Phantom of the Opera' or an Adele song, Debussy's Claire De Lune or Jingle Bells, I show them how to do it and help them get there. I am very thorough, taking no short cuts, but making it fun to learn an instrument. You will be amazed at what you are playing in three to six months!

My son has studied french horn with Peter for 2 years now, and he looks forward to lessons every week. Under his guidance I've watched my teenager excel as a musician, and I've grown to admire Peter's teaching methods. We drive halfway across town to get to there ... because HE'S WORTH IT. It's true that Peter listens to his student's goals. He has literally tailored the lessons around my sons auditions while simultaneously giving him the necessary building blocks to continue growing musically.

About Charles
I am an international recording artist and seasoned performer. I have been playing music since the early age of 8 yrs old. I have always been inspired by music and love to inspire others with music. Some of my accomplishments include putting an album out with Universal Records as a Nashville recording artist, having over 7 albums out internationally, and recording and playing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I am a classically trained musician as well as an innovative and experienced teacher. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have seen many of my students go on to become top-notch performers themselves while pursuing successful careers in music. In addition to being a private music teacher, I have also taught at many schools in the valley including the Center for Educational Excellence School, Grand Canyon Pr
eparatory private charter school and the Arizona Music Academy. I teach all levels of guitar, bass, and drums and tailor every lesson to the individual student’s needs and personality. My annual recitals are live-performance concerts featuring bands and other performing groups formed from among my students along with solo performances. My students also perform regularly throughout the community and are successful in their musical endeavors at all ages. I teach a wide range of genres and styles from classical music, blues, jazz and rock to heavy metal with an emphasis on becoming A-Level lead guitar soloists and song writers. I teach songwriting skills, music theory, and have even helped many of my guitar students be able to sing better while learning their main instrument.

*** Lesson Details ***
I make my lessons fun and informative and have had many students stay with me for up to 7 years. I show you everything you will ever need to know about music theory but in a very useful applicable way. No matter if you want to become a pro lead guitar player or just play to have fun I can show you how to sing and play the guitar or piano at the same time or singing songs from church as well as your favorite rock or pop songs with confidence.

Music has been my passion for the past 18 years. I started piano when I was 5 yrs old and the violin when I was 7 yrs old. I continued with lessons until I entered the Detroit High School for Performing Arts. During my sophomore year, I took additional classes at Wayne Sate University for music theory and in my senior year I took on my first piano students. I have been teaching piano, violin and music theory ever since. I have also choreographed and taught dance for many years as dancing has been with me since my first lessons at 4 yrs old. My focus is in ballet, tap and jazz. I am a graduate from Eastern Michigan University where I was actively a part of the music and dance program.

*** Lesson Details ***
I remember my piano teacher and I try to keep her balance of fun and learning. I am a very fun teacher, but I do expect my stu
dents to work, and learn. I introduce learning games and have contests. I also regularly quiz my students. For the younger students I like to inform the parents about what they should be practicing and of any theory exercises they may have for the week. Music is a rewarding and enjoyable passion that I try to pass on to my students.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Students should have their own instruments. I will provide the first books, but they will have to provide the books that come after and I will assist them with that.

*** Specialties ***

violin is one of the most tricky instrument ever. When you listen to it, it is amazing, when you start to learn it, you feel horrible. you cannot wait to ask your children or yourself to quit ASAP. trust me, once you pass the pivotal point, you will love it, never feel tired of holding it, never feel crazy of its creepy sound!

First, I need to talk to my students about their goals. Not only for the adult, teacher also need to know what kids want to know about music. They are interested in it sometimes, they just don't know. Second, I will let them know, interests is just the first step. If you want to learn, you have to pay! Pay your patient, and your endeavor. I will teach in some specific ways to motive students to approach the goals. for example: listen, singing, playing, reading is the process to make the students catch the goal faster without lost their interests! So involve more activities in the lessons is very important! Also, serious technique practice is necessary. As I mentioned before, not only interests, if you want to learn , you have to pay. Once you catch your goal, you will feel happy that the teacher has been pushed you for some boring finger exercise.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I do have a grand piano at home. For violin students, they should have their own instrument.

Kan seemed very qualified and the first lesson or so went well with the exception of hearing her child cry on and off throughout the lesson and make an appearance on camera as well. We tried to be understanding. Unfortunately we learned she has quite a temper. Our Internet went down and caused problems in our Skype connection. We tried to contact her and Skype said she was unavailable. It took some time to unravel it. When we finally got back in touch with Kan 16 minutes after the lesson started, instead of listening and understanding that we had technical problems, she yelled at us and kept brandishing her phone at the camera to "prove" that she was ready for the lesson. She barely let us get a word in. She very firmly told us we would be paying for the lesson and continued to hold her phone up to the camera. We wanted to just continue the lesson in it's shortened form, but she refused to put her phone down and kept talking over us. Our goal was to remedy the situation; after this, we wanted nothing further to do with Kan. She upset our daughter and that's the end of that. Be warned.

Victor is a great instructor and a great person. He is wonderful with my young son, who was an absolute beginner when he started lesson with Victor at age 8. My son has a learning disability that makes it harder for him to read music and process instructions. Victor worked with all of that with patience and respect. Now my son can play beautiful songs and perform in front of others. I believe that learning music has also helped my son become better at reading, math, and thinking! I have been playing the violin for 15 years and teaching for 7 years. My curriculum includes a heavy emphasis on sound quality and correct, relaxed technique, followed by musicality and a well rounded music education. My goal is for students to be well versed not only in how to play violin, but also be knowledgeable in music history and theory. I believe that students should enjoy their music lessons while utilizing their individual learning style.

About Brianna
I graduated from the University of Idaho in May 2014. I earned my degree in Instrumental Music Education and have been teaching privately for since 2008. I have taught private instrumental lessons to grades 2-8 at a private school and I currently work as a full time 5th grade classroom teacher at a Great Hearts school. I also run the instrumental music program at the same school for grades 6-12. I continued their intermediate orchestra program and started the beginning orchestra program in the 2015-2016 school year. In the 2016-3017 school year, I piloted a successful beginning instrum
ents club. The majority of my experience is with students age 3 through 9th grade.

I primarily teach lessons in the Gilbert area where I teach full time. I also accept lessons in Tempe and Mesa. Students outside of this area are welcome to travel to my house in Tempe.

I am an adult learner and former violin player but hadn't played the violin in over 15 years.

I thought the way she gauged my residual skills was amazing. She chose short pieces in successive Suzuki books to assess my rhythm, subdividing, bowing, fingering and knowledge of scales.

She picked up on the smallest details - it was amazing really. For example, she mentioned that she liked the left hand frame, but wanted to check on one thing - so she riffed through the books I had and had me play a piece - just so she could see how the frame held up when I had to reach for the high c on the E string. She liked that I kept the third finger down while reaching with the fourth, but noticed then that my thumb moved under the neck - I guess this made her want to see how I shifted positions (I didn't think I'd have to do that in my first lesson after 15 years!) - and she saw that I had my thumb under the next. The craziest part about this is that this is a habit that my high school violin teacher dealt with with me!

More importantly, though, she was very understanding about goal-setting. She didn't lump me in with her younger students and asked very frank but focused questions about what I wanted to get out of playing the violin again - some that I hadn't even thought to ask myself!

I really look forward to my next lesson with her!
