I was a performance major in college (class of 74).I have been performing professionally for 45 years.

I host a student recital every 6 months where you can perform on your instrument or sing . It helps you to overcome stage anxiety.

I offer my students 3 recitals a year in some very nice halls around New York, where they would get a chance to perform their music in front of an audience of friends and family.

Performing is a great way to see as a student what you do well and what you can improve in. Each performance gains a level of experience that can not be gain by just playing for yourself. Through this experience you will learn what it takes to get better as a musician.

Been playing piano since age 5, flute since 4th grade and much more music encompassing a lot in the classical field, some jazz and other genres as well. I have a Master's degree in wind conducting and am fully capable of teaching any standard subject in music. I am also an experienced accompanist.

From my experience auditioning and performing classical singing, piano, theatre, musical theatre, and dance as well as sitting on the other side of the audition panel and in the audience, I am well equipped to help with music performance. Through these experiences I have learned that performing music on any instrument or ensemble setting requires a similar mindset and preparation tactic. This involves polishing the repertoire to maximize confidence as well as using tools to overcome nerves to enjoy the process of performing music. Any musician is welcome!
