I strive to create a fun and safe learning environment and to instill the values of lifelong learning, curiosity, and self-improvement in my students. My primary goal as a teacher is to make playing the violin easy and fun.
My teaching begins with a strong technical foundation. Having strong basics allows the violinist to play their instrument with ease, having the freedom to play musically and creatively. I provide students with a balance of scales and arpeggios, etudes and technical exercises, and classic repertoire, and supplement with fiddle, pop, and jazz tunes, according to the student's interests.
