Lessons will be based on what YOU want to learn! Together, we will articulate these goals and create a curriculum to achieve them. Lessons and practicing should be fun, and my experience of teaching many many different students taught me that structured and goal oriented practice is necessary in order to play the music you want to learn.
Your part is to bring up this effort and practice regularly.
My part is to help you learn HOW to practice and master the instrument with proper technique.

Ines has been a great teacher throughout college. Her emphasis on technique has greatly influenced how I approach guitar playing. Also, she taught me how important one's guitar tone is when playing a song the way the composer intended it to be played. It is very clear that I have improved as a guitar player while being her student and my guitar repertoire has expanded beyond just classical music.

Ines is an inspiring teacher for our nine-year old daughter. She is firm but flexible, patient, and a wonderful role model. Her breadth of performing and teaching experience allows her to choose repertory that is varied, fun, and challenging. Our daughter is always excited to have lessons with her.

"Great feedback from the concert! Now Brandi's been working with me on basic classical - reading two or three lines at a time and going up and down the neck of the guitar with just the sheet music! No Tab Charts!! For me this has always been extremely hard, and probably the hardest musical skill for me overall is reading multiple lines simultaneously. Not great yet but - in quite a short time - have come Much farther than I was and am finally figuring out how to do it. Brandi has been super encouraging and patient and explains every step along the way when I get stuck - even multiple times if needed :)! Playing my normal rock or jazzy stuff with a lot more ease and "know-how" than before. She makes being pushed to your limits not only productive but also enjoyable."

"We've briefly tried guitar instructions at a studio and in my home and weren't really happy with either. Decided to give it another go and were very lucky to find Rebecca.
My 10 year old grandson is learning to play an electric guitar whereas I favor the acoustic. Instead of doing 2 separate half hour lessons, Rebecca let us combine them into a single hour that we take together. Doing the lessons together makes it easy to see how Rebecca makes adjustments to each person's abilities and instrument. A number of the songs in the music book are made for 3 separate guitars, which makes it more enjoyable/interesting as each one of us (including Rebecca) take turns playing a different guitar's section at the same time.
A real down to earth individual that is both joyful and serious. I keep coming up with questions regarding music and playing the guitar. Whether its part of the lesson or not; she is always provides me with an answer that is easy to understand.
I would highly recommend Rebecca as an instructor."
