My 10-year-old son is brand new to the violin, and Mark has been very helpful in guiding him through each step. My son loves his lessons!

Mark has excellent teaching skills and is very knowledgeable. Both these make learning with him a pleasure.
Highly recommend.

My 7-year-old son has really been enjoying his weekly violin lessons with Mark! My son is completely new to the instrument, and Mark has been doing a great job of explaining how to hold the violin and how to play the music, which is no small feat over a computer screen. I was fairly involved during the first few lessons since I wanted to be able to help my son practice between lessons, but now that he has taken several weeks of lessons with Mark I don't have to sit next to him the whole time. I highly recommend Mark!

My first lesson was very good. She took the time to explain and we progressed at a good pace. She explained things and showed me proper techniques to hold the violin and the bow. Overall the lesson was fun and exciting.

I started working with Alyssa in person when she was teaching violin in Salt Lake City. Once she moved to Los Angeles I agreed to try the online lessons. I have found this method of learning to be very valuable. Alyssa has a unique way of teaching. While the traditional principles of violin playing are taught Alyssa includes mindfulness and breath in her methods. She also introduces improvisation and takes music beyond its notes on the page.

Alyssa was very thorough and met my objectives.

I so appreciated my first Lesson with Nick! We had planned to meet in person, but because of the current quarantine had to have class online - and it was wonderful! He was encouraging and clear and was able to diagnose some of my bad habits and give me ways to get past them. He also generously shared resources and repertoire. I'm much looking forward to continuing with him - just what I needed both musically and to keep my spirits up!
