Over 6 years of teaching experience, and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance! I have taught all ages and experience levels and specialize in teaching young children how to sing in a vocally healthy way. I customize lesson plans to achieve your goals and have a 5-step training system which includes work on breath support, ear-training, healthy vocal technique, and repertoire of either your choice or my recommendation.

I am classically trained and have performed under the baton of world renowned conductor Lorin Maazel, and have attended the prestigious Aspen Opera Theatre as a Fellowship Opera Coach. However, this does not mean I only teach opera! In fact, most of my students are too young for opera or are more interested in musical theatre. I bring my knowledge of vocal health and healthy ways of singing, such as mixed voice, placement, and release of bad tension in addition to good breath support to ALL genres. No matter what genre you like to sing, healthy singing will ...

While at the Kansas City School of Music, my girls, ages 7 and 10, received piano and vocal lessons from Miss Sophia. Sophia is a wonderfully talented musician and pianist with very effective teaching methods. She is very patient with her students and always provides a positive nurturing learning environment. She was able to tailor each lesson to fit each of my girls needs, which I appreciate. I highly recommend Sophia to anyone looking to receive top notch instruction.

Mrs. Zey is incredibly knowledgeable in voice and piano as well as in teaching them. She's familiar with a wide variety of vocal styles and techniques and will find one that works for you, as well as be kind and patient while teaching it. Five stars; a round of applause; and a standing ovation. She knows what she's talking about and is the best at what she does.

Scott Scully worked for the Plano ISD district as a private voice teacher back in the mid 2000’s at my school, Plano East SHS. He gave lessons from 6th grade through 12th grade. Under his lessons, our students gained confidence, vocal skills that encompassed agility, strength, superior breath support, and superb technique. Scott has a great sense of humor and an ability to connect with anyone in the teaching setting. I can only imagine what new strategies and techniques he has developed over the many years learning and perfecting his craft at the MET. I only wish he lived closer so that our students could continue to take from Scott.

The fact that someone of this caliber is teaching on "takelessons" is AMAZING!! Scott was great, patient but still full of energy and positive reinforcement. If you are wanting to further your singing ability (and I am not a pro for sure) you should definitely sign up for a lesson. Top Notch all around!!!

"I just had my first lesson with Michelle and Robert and I cannot wait for my next one. They provide insightful feedback, explain the importance of what they are teaching you in regards to your voice and are extremely encouraging and engaging during the whole process. They both have extensive knowledge and experience and are flexible in their teaching methods to ensure that you will understand what they are asking of you. In just the one lesson I already felt an improvement in my singing technique. I still have a long way to go, but I am confident in their ability to get me there. I highly recommend them."

"I lovvvvve Tanisha. She has this upbeat and vibrant personality; she's super sweet and nice. When it comes to singing, she has you pick out your own song that you would like to sing. She doesn't bombard you with songs and training that won't enhance your voice. I've already noticed changes to my voice and I'm only on my 6th lesson. Plus, she's not a teacher that watches the clock, so if she feels you need an extra 10 mins for vocal training, then you will exceed your time limit with no problem. She's there to help you and if I had to recommend a vocal coach, then of course it would be Tanisha Hall :)"
