Opera Voice

Laura has a B.M. in Vocal Performance and has trained with Juilliard's Arlene Shrut, opera's Antonio Conte Pugliese, and Italy's bel canto maestro, Capucine Chiaudani. She is a 5th year Grammy voting member and her voice is featured on over 50 commercial albums. She first opened her private studio in Philadelphia in 2014, and her students have since gone on to Juilliard, Berkeley, Westminster Choir College, Oberlin, Temple, the University of the Arts Jazz Program, and others have been featured on both American Idol and The Voice. Many students have even co-written original songs with Laura and are now performing on their own.

Laura bases her teaching methods on her knowledge of current popular music technique, her real-world experience as a singer in the music industry, her in-depth study of psychology, and her training as a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor to bring a grounded and completely wholistic approach to teaching students how to sing.

Experienced teacher of 12 years, specializing in all things soprano! All ages welcome.

Laura is an internationally touring, professional soprano who has sang with symphonies around the world and who knows the soprano voice inside and out. She will help you (or your child) build a strong foundation in understanding her instrument and choosing the right repertoire specifically written for her voice to shine.

In this lesson series, Laura focuses 50/50 on building correct vocal technique but also building the student's appropriate repertoire list for auditions and future musical study.
