*** Lesson Details *** I am pretty easy going. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease, but we do need to focus and can have fun doing it. :) I utilize various methods for each instrument, which is determined by the students learning style and ability; needs, so this can change as time goes on (not sticking to one particular publishers materials). I have done (and continue to do) extensive research into materials available for each instrument I teach, and supplement with my own, to utilize the best out there for "YOU" for the best possible progress. While ensuring an extremely well-rounded musical education, so you can progress at the best possible rate. Since each student's potential is different, each will progress differently. This is also determined by your dedication to daily practice (the more you practice, the quicker you will progress & the more accomplished you will become). This is a 'Team Effort'; I give the guidance and tools. You practice, utilize learn these tools, and off we go! The sky is the limit!

We just finished our 25th months with Miss Amy as our teacher and are still so very happy to have her! She is the BEST teacher we know! Miss Amy is extremely skilled and very qualified. But the best part of having Miss Amy as a teacher is her endless patience and her sweet ability to get the very best from her students - and it all seems so effortless. We have always taken lessons on line with Miss Amy and even though we wondered at first if we could make it work it has been just perfect! Miss Amy has THE best way of helping our learners get out of lessons what they need and still keep working toward playing better a fun experience. She seems to know when a song may have become a labor rather than a love and just works around those perfectly. Miss Amy, we love you so much. You have truly changed our family. Our sons are complimented on their ability all the time and we get asked tons who our teacher is. We are always proud to tell any one who asks that Miss Amy in New York is our teacher! Thank you, Miss Amy!
After graduating from the Juilliard School of Music I played with the New Jersey Symphony for 3 years and then moved to Switzerland where I was Principal cellist with the Beil Orchestra. I have spent 30 years teaching cello with good success. I enjoying helping students getting better. I teach the rudiments of the bow arm, bow grip and how to change the direction of the bow.
I graduated from Juilliard (BA) and played 3 years with the New Jersey Symphony after which I moved to Europe where I was Principal cellist with a Swiss Orchestra ( Biel ). I teach the Leonard Rose bow arm technique. I believe he had the best bow arm in the business.
I work with the bow arm first with beginners and advanced players to get a better bow grip, bow stroke and bow change. The rudiments are important!
Experienced cello teacher of 10 years! My lesson plan is simple : 1. we warm up with basic scales + finger exercises, 2. we focus on tone + proper technique, and 3. we play from a variety of solo, duets, and ensemble pieces (I prepare backing tracks to help w/ rhythm and timing... or play the parts myself). If the student is working on music for school orchestra, we can focus on that as well. You will learn what you want to learn at your own pace.

Teaches locally, in-studio, and online. Occasionally travels to Japan to perform + teach.
I could not ask for more in a teacher. Ryan is amazing in every way. He has been teaching my 4 year old son the drums for nearly a year. When my son started lessons, he was actually below the minimum age for students, but he shared a passion for music that Ryan was willing to cultivate and be patient with.
Ryan is versatile in his teaching methods, creative, open, patient. Teaching a young student, Ryan adjusted to teaching music reading fundamentals with colors and shapes. He also figured out ways to correct, critique and build all the while building a young child's confidence.
Ryan provides a written evaluation of our son annually and has him prepare for two public recitals a year. Ryan integrates modern technology into the lessons to quickly provide feedback and create customized beats and tempos to practice to.
Above all, Ryan smiles and laughs. He makes every lesson pleasant and we treasure him, truly.

My 16 year old daughter has been taking lessons from Alex for two years. He's a very accomplished cellist with a strong background in all areas of playing the cello. He has been very patient with my daughter. He makes the lessons fun. Her skill level has steadily improved and can be directly attributed to lessons with Alex. Most importantly, he has helped her gain more confidence in her playing! I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to become a better cellist!

Alex is an excellent cello teacher! He is very perceptive and offers solid suggestions to help you improve your technique and grow as a player. Learning a new instrument can be quite stressful, but Alex is a supportive teacher whose friendly smile and casual demeanor will help put you at ease in your studies.
Music brings the beauty out of life. My first priority is to quickly lay a solid technical foundation in order to speed progress and cultivate harmony between the student and their Cello. I have been teaching professionally for 11 years. I combine Suzuki and traditional methods. All skill levels and ages are welcome! Ages 5+
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance in Cello from Bilkent University School of Music in Ankara, Turkey on a full-scholarship, as a full-time music student for 11 years with honors. In 2012 I graduated from Valdosta State University with my Master’s Degree in Performance with 4.0 GPA, where I was the recipient of an out of state scholarship and teaching assistantship.
While pursuing my Master’s Degree at VSU, I had the opportunity to teach in award-winning South Georgia String Project (SGSP), an after-school music program where public school-age children, from grades 1-12, have access to low-cost stringed instrument lessons. In SGSP I was fortunate enough to instruct a diverse group of children where I conducted orchestras, assisted with the Valdosta Youth Orchestra, taught group and private lessons, and applied Differ
entiated Learning teaching techniques.
My experience as an intercultural and international musician, and as a teacher enables me to collaborate with people from varying backgrounds.
I strive to tailor each student's experience. Facilitating progression and learning at the individual level.
Throughout my teaching career, my focus has been centered around cultivating the students’ interest by awakening a sense of music appreciation while teaching them the technical skills of playing an instrument.
Apart from teaching, I have been a performer for 12 years with various orchestras. And now you can see me play with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra in Oahu, where I live and teach.
I am looking forward to bringing the joy of music into your life!
Ms. Bryant is very patient and encouraging. She consistently tried to understand and encourage our son. She is enthusiastic about her instrument and challenged herself to develop her own skills. She has a great sense of humor, and really “clicked” with our son. He really enjoyed her as his teacher! Highly recommended! The best music teacher we have had in 27 years of parenting.

Working with Tugce was an absolute joy. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her as a colleague and working with her as a private instructor as well. Working with her as a colleague was pleasurable. She was very professional, approachable, and knowledgeable. If I had any questions or needed help in any way she was always there to help me and was willing to help with anything that I needed. As a private instructor she was very knowledgeable, personable, relatable, and thorough in her explanations of how things should be executed. She was always patient and made me feel at ease with where I was in my studies. She met me where I was in my studies as a cellist and worked with me to help me elevate myself in what my goals were. She helped me be confident in my own knowledge and physical ability. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a cello teacher!!

Tuğçe is the best out there. I took her class and had no experience what so ever when it came to strings, but she guided me through and before I knew it, I was making the strings sing like a bird.

"We just had our first cello lesson with Jessica and it was wonderful! She was very patient with me getting the tech set up for the first time online, and
then was very attentive to my daughter. She helped in so many detailed ways, and details make all the difference. Hand grip, finger placement, bow hold, many things, all to make a better sound. Even after 45 minutes of a lesson, my daughter had fun and wanted to continue playing after she got offline. Yay! Success! Thanks Jessica!"
Many beginning musicians wonder, “Is cello hard to learn?” The process of learning the cello is not difficult, but it’s important to keep in mind that the cello is not an instrument of instant gratification. It does require focused, daily practice time and a good teacher to guide you along the way.
How far you progress with cello is a direct result of the amount of quality time you put into practicing the instrument. Even someone who puts in just 30 minutes a day will notice a signi …
