I understand that each person learns differently and has different musical goals. Because of this, I do not teach everyone the same. I do not teach out of any specific book or teaching program. Instead I design lessons around the student and their own personal style and goals. I feel that this creates a more motivating and driven curriculum and makes lessons more enjoyable for myself and my students.

About Andrew

My name is Andrew. I am a private guitar teacher in the Puyallup,WA area. I have been teaching professionally in the area for the past 6 years, and have been playing and studying the guitar since I was 11 years old. Music is my life, and teaching people to play this music on guitar is my passion. M

Andrew is an excellent instructor. He is really knowledgeable in music theory. I took lessons for only a short time but was able to learn so much, because he used my knowledge of piano to help me understand guitar concepts and he focused on the techniques and songs that I was most interested in.

It help him understand about the instrument and the sound when he play. He do have a sense of humor which help my son to have fun and be more comfortable. He also teaches other instruments, too. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!

Light and portable, the acoustic guitar brings fun and beauty to any situation and environment, from campfires to parks and parties of all kinds! Learning to bring this musical joy to yourself and others is an extremely worthwhile pursuit; i have found that in my travels around the world, all i ever had to do was pull out an acoustic guitar, and wherever i happened to be, people would always come up and hang out around me, and engage with me in very friendly ways - even if we didn't speak the same language! All because of the universal language of beautiful music....

Ryan is amazing. He worked with my 8yo son both in person and online after the pandemic started... he was the ONLY teacher of any kind that could keep my attention-challenged kid engaged the whole time. I wish I could post a video of my son playing a year ago compared to now... amazing. Ryan was also fantastic at choosing music, and baking in music theory and "drills" so that they felt exciting and interesting to a kid that young. Hands down, a phenomenal teacher.

"As a teacher myself, the amount of educators that not only have a gift but have the passion to bestow knowledge upon others are few and far between. Salvador is one of those teachers. I have had some of his students for piano lessons. The artistry and technical improvement that his students have in guitar is incredible. He is a joy to work with. If I had children wanting to take lessons, I would choose him in a heartbeat."
