Hello, and welcome! Are you ready to embark on a musical journey? I love being able to share my passion for music and teaching by helping kids and adults with various backgrounds achieve their learning goals! 

My teaching style is all about fostering a growth mindset and tailoring lessons to your unique learning style. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, I'm here to help you achieve your musical goals. I create fun lesson plans that include music theory, exercises, and songs you love. You tell me which songs or musicians you love, and I will teach you everything you need to know through those songs! 

What sets me apart is my background with 9 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, musician, and online language and music instructor, ensuring a structured yet positive learning environment. With my years of experience I have honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, encouraging student curiosity, adapting to different settings and requirements, providing one-on-one and group setting instruction, and fostering a positive and empowering learning environment.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where I was on honor roll and graduated Magna cum laude, and I have a teaching license as well as multiple ESOL certifications. I started taking guitar lessons when I was 8 years old. I only stopped taking guitar lessons after graduating High School and have been playing and teaching independently since.

When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my 16-month-old baby  girl on our farm, surrounded by our dogs, cats, horses, and cows.  I believe that my personal experiences as a mom and a farmer taught me the importance of nurturing growth and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to sharing my love for music, and teaching with my students and helping them reach their full potential.

As an experienced teacher of 9 years, specializing in beginner guitar playing, I will help you build a solid foundation in guitar playing through the use of famous songs. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, I will teach you how to read and play your favorite songs like a master! All ages are welcome! Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. My guitar lessons inspire creativity and help develop new students into world-class players.

Taryna is awesome.  She is very patient and kind.    She has given me some great direction. 

Taryna is an incredibly patient and uplifting teacher. She was willing to teach me the songs that I personally enjoy (simplifying them to my level, too) and willing to take her time to carefully explain things to me whenever I struggled with certain chords and finger-pickings. Even after I was no longer able to take her classes due to my schedule becoming too busy, she recommended a video to help me with bar chords. 100% recommend.

Learning with Taryna is so much better than trying to figure out how to play on my own watching videos.  It helps so much to be able to ask questions and get feedback.  And she is always encouraging when helping correct my mistakes as I learn.

I really enjoyed my first session with Taryna today. She has a very jovial personality and an excellent way of teaching. I am looking forward to my second session with her  next week.

I signed up our two young daughters (7 and 10) to take piano lessons with Taryna, and we have been pleasantly surprised how well this is going, even online.  Taryna is very kind and gives tons of positive feedback to our girls even when needing to correct something she makes it fun and positive.  I was a little hesitant to use online lessons, but Taryna really makes it easy for us which is super convenient for us to do right from the comfort of our home.  Also, her prices are very reasonable, so I see no downsides.  I am sure with her talent and pricing she will be 100% booked before too long, so don't hesitate to book a lesson.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Taryna for a few months now and I have learned so much! I love that I get to pick which songs we learn in class. When I struggle learning something, she always encourages me to keep going until I am able to play it.
