It was truly a pleasure meeting Concetta for my first ever violin lesson. It is difficult to learn anything at the age 40, specially a musical instrument, but she made it comfortable and easy to understand. She's extremely patient a key quality when teaching a subject such a music to anyone. I would say, give her teaching style a try and you won't regret it. Very knowledgeable indeed.

After graduating from the Juilliard School of Music I played with the New Jersey Symphony for 3 years and then moved to Switzerland where I was Principal cellist with the Beil Orchestra. I have spent 30 years teaching cello with good success. I enjoying helping students getting better. I teach the rudiments of the bow arm, bow grip and how to change the direction of the bow.

About Don
I graduated from Juilliard (BA) and played 3 years with the New Jersey Symphony after which I moved to Europe where I was Principal cellist with a Swiss Orchestra ( Biel ). I teach the Leonard Rose bow arm technique. I believe he had the best bow arm in the business.

I work with the bow arm first with beginners and advanced players to get a better bow grip, bow stroke and bow change. The rudiments are important!

Never too late to begin learn cello! My lessons focus on both sightreading and aural skills to make a well-rounded musician.

I make sure I am meeting the specific needs of each studedent, help them reach their individual goals, and most importantly make lessons fun.

About Eric
I enjoy sharing my love of music by helping others embark on their musical journeys. I am a strong supporter of using a combination of aural training and sightreading to boost musicality and finesse.

In the past 6 years, I have taught students of all ages, ranging from children to seniors. You are never ever too old to learn the piano or the violin. You may not be the next Chopin, but with practice and dedication, you will eventually be able to play the mass majority of piano/violin repertoire.

Strong fundamentals (scales/chords/arpeggios) are important, but I also remember to make music fun and not boring by providing diverse selections of supplemental (pop/ragtime/blues) pieces.

I teach ages 7-77, beginning through advanced. (If you have a student younger than 7, we will start with piano first.) I pride myself on giving students a solid foundation in their cello study no matter which direction they hope to take. I am very methodical so as to not skip any important steps, but also flexible to find what works best for each student. With time and practice, students will learn correct technique as well as develop their musical voice. I set up students to become fluent in reading sheet music as well as fine-tuning their auditory skills. Correct body mechanics are also emphasized to lesson the possibility of injury and to make beautiful music as easy as possible.

About Nicole
I am a teacher and performer in the greater Puget Sound area. Resident to Tacoma for 20+ years. I teach cello, theory and beginning piano lessons. My very nature is to be a teacher and I thoroughly enjoy it. I like the challenge of creatively finding the right approach for each student to be successful. I am thankful to have and have had so many students over the years who become my friends in the process.
I have taught hundreds of students since 1994 - many happy to play in their living room and many off to conservatory and a career of music. Besides private lessons, I have taught in group settings at Pierce College, Tacoma Youth Symphony and Tacoma Public Schools.
Most every weekend I am performing with a variety of groups including my own Arcobaleno Strings and several other local orchestras.
