I'm an experienced teacher, specializing in the beginner/intermediate guitar lessons. Ages 7+ welcome. Lessons are constructed including helpful technique strategies catered to both the student who is highly motivated to play by ear in contemporary gospel church settings and/or the student whose goal is sight-reading. I've been playing the guitar for 18 years, and also play bass guitar, double bass, and mandocello. As such I have a solid foundation of theory, technique and ability that I can transfer to you, from which you can take off.

I have a unique way of teaching. I have realized that a lot of people give up trying to learn pretty fast. I have perfected my way of teaching so that you can see results within a couple of lessons and that will keep you motivated to keep learning and practicing.
Its a fun way to learn and it keeps it interesting.

I have had the great opportunity to teach all levels for over 15 years in the United Kingdom, South Africa and the USA. I have held positions as guitar teacher at many Colleges, Universities and Companies around the UK and USA. I have worked in the distant learning department at the Manhattan School of Music, teaching students around the country from their studio base. With many of my students going onto music schools such as The New School, NYC, Queens College, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire I believe that I have a wide range of experience with all age ranges from beginners to beyond advanced. I focus on making the lessons as fun and engaging as possible whilst keeping on track to certain goals set by myself and the student throughout the year.

I'm looking for eager students of all ages who would like to start learning the basics of the guitar! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of good playing habits (learning the right songs and techniques that you makes you a better musician!). I specialize in rock, funk and pop. I focus on playing by memory but sheet music and cheat sheets are also available upon request. I also have the following tools available to use during lessons: sound recording equipment, sheet music, and more.
