As a 40 year old beginner I was a little nervous about the whole online experience as well as starting a new instrument. Victor makes the online teaching experience seamless. Victor is calm, thoughtful and patient. He always finds a way to explain something in a way that relates to me specifically. To do this someone must be able to listen as well as teach. This is quality I have not found in all of my teachers/instructors/coaches throught the years. Victor is also easily the most flexible of any teacher I have had. He always finds a way to accommodate my schedule and works around any issues that arise. I have really enjoyed my learning experience thus far and look forward to each lesson. I began playing cello because I watched him teach my brother and thought as a ten-year-old that it would be fun to take lessons with Mr. Anderson. He is a great communicator, super personable, provides suggestions and critique in a constructive manner, and is encouraging and supportive. He taught me all of the basics of cello playing and beyond, helping me work through all sorts of pieces, including etudes, solo pieces, all-region and all-state audition material, youth orchestra material (e.g., GDYO), etc. (and helped me succeed in all of these aspects).
