About Hallie
Hello there! Do you or your loved ones have an interest in music? So do I! That is why I am here to teach and share my own passion for music. I love working with children and have two boys of my own. I love teaching music and instil passion for learning into every one of my students.

Having grown up in a musical family with my mother a professional violinist, I have been exposed to the joys of music since childhood. I learned how to play Suzuki piano at the age of three, and later percussion and string instruments from when I was six years old. In high school I joined the band playing flute. I loved playing flute and piccolo so much that I decided to take this as my career and went to Interlochen Arts Academy where I excelled in my performance. I later went to Prague Conservatory and Czech Budweiss Conservatory and played with the
Prague Film Orchestra. Even more recently I have been a teacher for the Flutes and Strings classes at Unison World School in Dehradun, India.

I have enjoyed having a very successful studio here in Tampa, and hope to enrich your life with music soon!

*** Lesson Details ***
My approach to teaching varies with the age level of each student. With younger students, imitation is often one of the best methods of learning and I prefer the Suzuki method for students up to age 8, especially with strings. For older children and adults, learning music notation and basic music theory for a full understanding of musical language are more important to get them to the level where they can learn any music that they want to play for fun. For students who wish to excel in their school band, a more practical approach with technique specific warm-ups and exercises seems to be the best in general.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons are taught in the living room which includes music stands, sheet music, whiteboard, video recording equipment and microphone, and seating for parents/students. No pets. Parking in driveway. Siblings are welcome.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide metronome, and tools for minor instrument repair. Students should provide their own music stands and sheet music.

*** Specialties ***
Suzuki method, Hrimaly, Taffanel et Gaubert, Patricia George

I've played in symphonies, chamber music trios, quartets, for weddings and even jazz!

About Michael
Michael has worked with kids for 10 years in schools and arts programs to find fun and their best self through performance. He has taught orchestra, chamber music, jazz band and music theory in the public schools, while performing in local ensembles in and around the city. He also has studied drama, voice and movement and believes all these skills help in expressing yourself--no matter what pieces you want to play!

In addition to working with students K-12, he also loves working with adults. I try to provide a nurturing atmosphere for someone trying revive or discover previously hidden musical interests!

*** Lesson Details ***
We begin with what we love. The student usually chooses one of his or her favorite songs to interpret. Later, we add music, usually from the classical or jazz fields, that build our skills and help us f
eel successful. All technique is based on real music. Learning scales, keys and music theory become part of the music. By the end of 6 months, we will have a "repertoire" of several songs that express our best self!

taking just the one course and I wanted to come back for more. She re-lit the inspiration to continue and want more practice and want more education. Being a beginner she tailored to me even with other students. I feel very comfortable and she goes out of her way to help those get it right even when they feel weak in the spirit about just starting. I would really recommend taking courses from her. Not only did I feel catered to, she also was very honest about her boundaries and what she was willing to do and put herself out there for. I am happy to have met this woman and look forward to taking private lessons to improve not my only my love for music but love for the violin.

At the start of my time with my students, depending on their skill level, I will take them through the physics of producing a clean and robust tone while also remaining relaxed and stress free. I focus on music theory as well as ear training to give my students a good musicianship foundation so that cello playing and all music endeavors are more accessible. I guide my students through a range of repertoire until I find what really clicks with the students particular desires and interests.

About Jeff
I am a classically trained cellist and a recent graduate from the Bob Cole Conservatory of music in Long Beach California. My teacher during this time was Dr David Garrett of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Dr, Marlin Owen of the Biola Conservatory of Music. I have been playing cello for fifteen years and have been playing in orchestras for the past ten. I was the principle cellist for the Irvine Young Concert Artists Orchestra for two years and was Assistant Principle cellist In the CUSLB symphony orchestra.
In addition to classical music my time at the Bob Cole conservatory allowed to play in various Jazz ensembles and allotted me some proficiency at improve and composition. I primarily teach classical music but I would very enthused to delve into a more contemporary practice as per the request of the student.

Never too late to begin learn cello! My lessons focus on both sightreading and aural skills to make a well-rounded musician.

I make sure I am meeting the specific needs of each studedent, help them reach their individual goals, and most importantly make lessons fun.

About Eric
I enjoy sharing my love of music by helping others embark on their musical journeys. I am a strong supporter of using a combination of aural training and sightreading to boost musicality and finesse.

In the past 6 years, I have taught students of all ages, ranging from children to seniors. You are never ever too old to learn the piano or the violin. You may not be the next Chopin, but with practice and dedication, you will eventually be able to play the mass majority of piano/violin repertoire.

Strong fundamentals (scales/chords/arpeggios) are important, but I also remember to make music fun and not boring by providing diverse selections of supplemental (pop/ragtime/blues) pieces.
