I took acoustic guitar lessons with Adam and he was a wonderful teacher. I had little knowledge of the guitar and felt I developed my skills quickly. Adam was patient, nice and came up with fun exercises and song selections. Would highly recommend Adam as a teacher!

Corey is a fantastic drummer! Take advantage of time at home while learning new skills, and this is a great way to stay active and keep your energy up. Corey has been drumming for a very long time and has an excellent positive attitude, you can't miss!

A great experience! I have been learning with Corey for about two months, and am already improving. I am a guitar player with some basic drumming experience. I was looking to finally get to the next level so I could record my own drum beats (also drumming always looked like a lot of fun!), and Corey is helping me to achieve this. He is a talented drummer himself, and was able to quickly assess my playing level so we could start building on it. He has a great eye and ear for issues with my technique and always has an exercise to address them. In a short time I have experienced significant improvement, playing some more creative drum patterns, and am looking forward to continuing.
A lot of fun, very fulfilling, great instructor! Highly recommended!

Corey is an awesome drummer....truly knows the heart and soul of his craft! He's patient and kind...all around a cool dude! Check him out!

My time with Rich was really strong. I took lessons from Rich for a short while when living in Connecticut. The time I spent with him was VERY helpful to me as a novice guitar player. Rich has an unbelievable knowledge of the instrument and is quite an accomplished player. He is a really strong instructor and genuinely wants his students to get better.

In short, Rich is a very talented instructor/player and I would definitely take lessons from him again.

Even with absolute beginners, I will have a student playing actual songs that they are interested in as quickly as possible. Along with way I include fundamentals such as scales, strength-building exercises, rudiments of theory, and ear training.

"What a great teacher! He has several decades of experience in playing and teaching and it shows. He plays effortlessly and is very patient. He would be the ideal teacher for someone who is either new or already experienced with the guitar. Also, I feel like he can play most any song (and coming from a 70s/80s rock/metal fan, it's great). If you're on the fence about learning or continuing with lessons, give him a shot. You won't be disappointed!"

"We love how Lena teaches, she cares about each teaching and makes sure we understand the chords and what kind a of music we will playing. Lena is quickly to respond to any song request we may have even if she is not familiar with the song. Especially if it's in Spanish. She has been the best teacher ever. We have taken classes in her house which is good if you are starting. But now that we understand more of the chords and it's position we do online and it works well."

"I've taken lessons with Ahmad a few months now and I've made more progress in that short time than in any period during my 25 years playing guitar. He's helped me tackle the biggest technique issues that were slowing me down, and greatly expanded my knowledge of the fretboard. These improvements are making me a more confident player. Now I look forward to playing live (post COVID-19!) and recording, whereas in the past I had a lot of anxiety about pressure situations. I look at the improvement I've made in such a short time and get excited about where I could take my playing in the time to come.

Ahmad is professional and dedicated to teaching: He provided me a practice binder that he fills with exercises as I progress, and it's clear a lot of thinking has gone into the order of exercises, the suggested fingerings (often with several alternatives), and the presentation. When asked about theory or technique issues related to the exercises, Ahmad responds with clear explanations, so I'm confident he has deep knowledge of his subject. He's responsive over email between lessons when I have questions too. Also, if you're worried about in-person instruction during the pandemic like I was, Ahmad is on top of it.

While he's professional, Ahmad's demeanor is very friendly and conversational, and there's a casual atmosphere at his studio. Further, if you're worried about a teacher forcing you to learn things you're not interested in, there's nothing to fear here. Ahmad always checks in with me when presenting something new to make sure we're going in the direction I want. Thing is, I feel confident enough in Ahmad, and had such great results, I tend to follow his suggestions to the letter."

"My son has been taking guitar lessons from Russell for years. When my son was younger, Russell taught him how to play fun songs on an electric guitar. He knows how to engage his students of all ages so they enjoy the learning process. Over the years, Russell has incorporated acoustic guitar, music theory, music composition, and much more in his lessons. He is very passionate about teaching all components of music so his students develop their skills and have a deeper understanding of how music is made. He is an extremely talented musician who loves what he does. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher!"

"Kirk is excellent...I can't emphasize that enough. My daughter is 11 and he is beyond patient with her. He teaches by guiding her and letting her find her own answer. She really likes writing songs so he's supported that in his lessons by using what she comes up with during the week in between for the next lesson, weaving it into what he's teaching her for the day. I also really appreciate how he works on form with her, which is key to being a good guitarist and again it is through example, guiding her , and explaining things in ways that make sense to her. He has a very calm and relaxed demeanor. Also he's in a master's program for music, guitar concentration, so he really knows all aspects of it. I am taking classic guitar lessons once I can afford it. Kirk is one of the best teachers I've worked with and I recommend him for anyone. Thanks, Kirk!"

"Great lessons, great guy

I've been taking lessons from Jason for about 8 months now, and they've been awesome. I've been playing for several years, but never took formal lessons--just checking tabs and playing along with songs. My main goal was to learn everything I missed: the basics, theory, technique... After just a lesson or two, Jason had figured out my skill level, set up relevant exercises, and began incorporating theory into what I already knew. I've seen huge improvements to my playing in such a short time, and I'm a bad student that barely practices.

What's impressed me the most is how well he incorporates the theory and exercises into actively learning songs you're interested in.. it keeps you exercising the theory while still having fun playing more than just scales. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting to dive into theory, improvisation, etc."
