I've been teaching opera voice for over 6 years and my students have gone on to audition for musical plays, pursue musical roles, win competitions, and record CDs. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to breathe easier and have more freedom and as time goes on you'll be able to have a consistent, solid tone. I emphasize self-awareness and ask for feedback so that you know what to look for in your practices and performances. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Please note: Age 12-17 will receive 30-minute sessions to be sensitive to the developing voice. Age 18+ will receive 45-minute sessions.

About Heather
Heather is graduate from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. An active member of GMU Opera, Heather participated in the program's performances of 'A Christmas Carol,' 'Amahl and the Night Visitors,' 'La Boheme,' and 'Suor Angelica;' as well as Carolina in the studio scenes of Cimarosa's 'Il matrimonio segreto.'

Heather made her solo debut at the Kennedy Center in April 2011 singing for the Karen Reedy Dance Company along with singing for the GMU Dance Company.

Heather has been studying voice for over 10 years emphasizing on pop and musical theatre styles prior to her opera training. Having learned the natural way of singing, Heather incorporates vocal health into her lessons with the theory of "self-awareness" while singing. Each student will sing only what is comfortable for THEIR voice and will r
eceive, as well as give, feedback on their singing.

I just had my third lesson today and I've loved the lessons so far. Heather has already helped me become a lot more confident with my upper register by helping me with my breathing techniques. The stretching and breathing at the beginning of the lessons made me a lot more comfortable from the start. I'd definitely recommend her :)

My focus in lessons is on healthy vocal production with an emphasis on physiology. Because singing is very technical I want my students to feel comfortable in their understanding of their instrument. In this way, during performance situations they are able to let their musicality and acting shine without being hindered by vocal difficulty. Depending on the students need diction, music theory, and sight singing will be addressed.

About Natalie
Natalie E is a soprano based in New York City with experience singing in houses across the country. Natalie was educated in voice performance at the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) where she received her BM in 2011 and MM in 2013. Natalie has placed in competitions such as the Peter Elvins Vocal Competition, the Brookline Music School Vocal Competition, the Baur Scholarship Competition, the Corbett Opera Scholarship Competition, and the New York Lyric Opera Theater National Vocal Competition.

Natalie 's focus in lessons is on both healthful and beautiful vocal production as well as musicality. Depending on student's needs sight singing, music theory, IPA and diction will be addressed. Audition and competition prep as well as recital opportunities are also available.

Hi, I'm Ronn. I have lived in New York City for years performing on concert stages (including Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space) and Off-Broadway theatre. I now travel back and forth consistently between NYC and OKC, and also teach in Los Angeles regularly. I always start with a strong Classical Foundation, and also specialize in Musical Theatre and Contemporary Styles. I value technique, and students learning technique in their own bodies, so they're able to excel on their own after our work together.

About Ronn

Credits include national television, independent film (Soho International Film Festival Official Selection), New York concert stage (Carnegie Hall concerts with Kelli O'Hara and Stephen Sondheim) and Off-Broadway theatre. Oklahoma Theatre credits include appearances with Lyric Theatre, CityRep, Reduxion Theatre, Carpenter Square, and Sooner Theatre. BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. I have been a student of Ronn’s for the past two years, and of all the teachers I have had, he is one of my absolute favorites and most recommended! Ronn has helped me grow so much with my confidence in my voice and always pushes me beyond my comfort zone, which I am very thankful for. He is an excellent communicator and very understanding, and always provides a safe place for me to make (vocal) mistakes. Not only does he help me in voice training, but he helps me in telling the story of each song I receive.

Although, I only take vocals with Ronn currently, I have taken a few of his acting/film seminars, and they are very informative and have helped me a lot in learning about film and acting on-camera.

I highly recommend taking from Ronn, whether it be acting or singing! I have grown so much as his student, and he is wonderful to work with!

My 14 year old daughter has taken private voice lessons from Ronn for a couple of years! She loves going and she is disappointed when she has to miss. He has introduced her to many different styles of music and helped her put together a port folio of music for auditions.

Both of my children have been taught by Ronn. What he brings to the table is invaluable. He has taught them acting, on screen acting, and helped in voice. The kids have also had the privelage of being directed by Ronn in various projects. They both showed so much growth and confidence from his teachings. I highly recommend Ronn Burton!

I tackle the styles or genres that the student is interested in while implementing healthy vocal hygiene and practice rituals. I have and utilize extensive knowledge of music theory in order to teach students how to understand and perform harmony and melodic improvisation. I work to make my students gain a refined and powerful, yet unique voice. My studio comes with connections to professional audio engineers and videographers for when a student may want any recordings or media done. I also assist with songwriting for students interested. I want to bring out the best in you as both a person and a musician!

My name is Cristina and I'm from Barcelona. I'm a classically trained singer. I studied belcanto in 'Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia' in Rome. I've also studied musical theater for 3 years here in New York using the Speech Level Singing technique and I'm working in Bway at the moment. I studied jazz and contemporary music in Berklee School of Music, in both locations: Boston and Valencia. I speak spanish, english, italian and french, so the lessons could be in any of these languages. I use all the registers the human voice has: chest, head, mix and whistle. I can belt and teach how to do it for rock singers and how to mix for musical theater and pop music. If your interested in opera, I will teach you how to develop your full and real voice using your whole body, not just your head and 'mask'.
There's just ONE technique for all singing styles. You can sing anything and sound great and big, even without the microphone. I'll help you to reach that goal.

Chris is a true professional with an easy-going teaching style and fun to be with. I am a bass/baritone and he helped me increase my range beyond what I thought I could do and improve my breathing which has really helped me as a choir member. I'd definitely take more classes from him again.
