Wit's understanding and non-dogmatic teaching style made classes high-quality and stress-free. Remote instruction was deeply engaging, which I wasn't expecting as someone who is used to in-person music classes. I definitely learned more than I have in any other guitar class.

I especially appreciated that class felt like a discussion rather than a recital. Instead of following one method or theme, I was encouraged to completely shift our attention at any time if there was anything I was curious about.

Wit presents difficult ideas with enough context that I, having a limited understanding of theory, felt able to keep up and incorporate higher-level concepts into my writing/playing.

Can't recommend Wit's classes enough!

Prawit is such an incredible teacher - he structures the lessons to your specific goals, makes sure you understand everything before you move on, and makes it fun!
I love the structure he provides, and also the fact that he makes sure to check in as you are progressing. 👏🏼 I highly recommend him as a teacher

My classes are very flexible when it comes to what the student wants. On the first class, I give the student the choice of controlling our lessons materials about what they want to learn. Or the student can choose to let me control our classes, in which I will bring my own materials and ideas in which we should work and will go through the whole academic process of learning music.

About Marcelo

Have been teaching for many years and know that each student has their own mindset and we need to work around each person`s goals and interests. I focus on the individual needs of each student, helping them craft a personal practice approach to meet their unique goals and aspirations. The wide-reaching diversity of my performance careers informs my teaching; I'm comfortable teaching classical guitar, jazz improvisation, finger style, folk music, electric guitar, sight-reading; all areas which have been the bread and butter of my 10+ year professional performing experience. I'm always excited to meet my students where they're at, be they first-time beginners or advanced players.

About Nate

I'm a professional musician and doctoral classical guitar student based out of New York City! I have degrees in guitar performance from the Yale School of Music (M.M, M.M.A '19, '20) and the University of North Carolina (B.M. '16), where I've studied classical & jazz guitar, early music, and gene

I knew Nate as a friend before signing up for a lesson, and was not surprised to learn he's an awesome insructor too. I hadn't picked up an instrument in my whole life, and assumed a lesson was already light years ahead of where I was, but Nate made me feel comfortable and gave me a manageable amount of building blocks to practice and build on. I never felt like a noob, and am more excited to play, or at least learn, because of it. He gave me an hour which flew by, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Would highly recommend, Nate's the man, give him a chance!

My teaching philosophy is all about self-education: not only will I teach you how to play the guitar but I will also help you learn how to teach yourself. The work required to learn an instrument doesn't come from 30 to 60 minutes of lessons from a professional, it comes from the intensity of focus you spend playing the guitar throughout your time outside of lessons.

We will start with the end in mind; what is your goal? What music or songs do you want to learn? Then, together we will build a lesson plan to accomplish that goal. Throughout the lesson plan, along with playing your favorite songs, we will cover several aspects of being a musician: proper technique; musical interpretation and expression; music theory, which will include understanding notes, scales, chords, harmonic progressions, and analyzing music; communication when performing with other musicians; and building habits and techniques toward effective practicing.

The great thing about this process is it establishes ...

Hello future students! I am so excited you are here to learn a little about who I am and what I do. Before I talk about myself, I want to express how important music is for all of us. "Greg has been an incredible teacher and mentor to me over the years. He’s pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and be successful in every musical area I chose to pursue. Greg made valuable acoustic guitar and vocal lessons enjoyable and rewarding. I’ve seen him build up teams of inexperienced people to become well rounded and proficient musicians. Top instructor recommendation for pursing a musical passion.

You can use it wherever needed. Let me know if you need anything else or any adjustments."
