Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

With 5 years of teaching experience, Emily is excited to start cello lessons with you! She has performed for dozens of venues across 8 countries and 3 continents. Emily received 12 years of formalized training including 4 years of specialized instruction of the Alexander Technique at The Master's University. Consequently, she brings a comprehensive approach to cello instruction, utilizing knowledge of muscle and joint function to her teaching. Aside from using her talents weekly in a contemporary band setting, she also enjoys ensemble work in other capacities. She has performed in a commercial for the Porsche Panamera, a short film for EMD films, has recorded at Capital Records, and has had the pleasure of being the featured musician at various weddings, business functions, and private events. Emily hopes to not only train up talented musicians, but to also encourage responsibility, perseverance, and enjoyment through music!

Isaiah is a passionate instructor and brings his love of the cello and performance to students of all ages and backgrounds. Ensuring that each of his students receives a highly individualized learning experience, Isaiah spends a great deal of time creating unique plans of study for each pupil. He strives to make lessons engaging, fast-paced, and exciting. Isaiah has worked for several non-profit arts organizations, youth orchestras, and school systems teaching the cello, all the while maintaining a sizable private cello studio. He has taken advanced coursework in music pedagogy, teaching artistry, and Alexander Technique, incorporating modern techniques as well as practices from the rich history of cello tutelage into his teaching methods. Signing up for private lessons is both an investment and a commitment. Isaiah works hard to make this investment as worthwhile, exciting, convenient, and affordable as possible.

I LOVE teaching cello! I enjoy not only sharing my love of the music and the instrument, but also helping to expand my students' knowledge and hone their technique. My approach focuses on giving students the tools they need to become more independent musicians, so that the learning process will continue outside the lessons. This mostly consists of teaching a student how to practice efficiently and effectively, so they develop a good ear and become adept and solving their own musical problems or struggles. I will work with you to reach your cello playing goals and to enjoy yourself in the process!
