I teach and perform styles ranging from classical and Jazz to country, classic rock and even metal. I enjoy teaching all styles and ability levels.

About Jon
I have been playing guitar since the age of 9. I have studied Classical, and Jazz at CCM's Prep Dept. in middle school and throughout high school as well as rock, folk, country etc. with other local teachers. I started teaching lessons at the age of 18 in local music stores and have never stopped. While doing this I attended The College of Mount St. Joseph where I studied Classical and Jazz guitar as well as Music Ed. In addition to my 22 years of private lesson experience, I have 2 years of classroom experience teaching general music in elementary schools. I believe it is my years as a student and instructor that enable me to be an effective teacher, having had learned what worked for me as a student, and what has shown to work as a teacher.

*** Lesson Details ***
I cater my lesson to the individual. I like for students to have
a structured practice routine and working knowledge of music and their instrument, but it has to be fun. I have students who learn Classical, rock, and Jazz. Each lesson is different. Some people just want to be able to play their favorite songs by a camp fire, and others want to go on to perform at Carnegie Hall. I enjoy teaching both lessons and put forth the same enthusiasm for each one. You get out of the guitar or bass what you put into it in terms of learning and practicing. The level of achievement is up to you, I will help guide you to meet your goals regardless of how large or small they are.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Spare music room: guitars, amps, bass; computer with recording software, ProTools seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have all the equipment necessary. I would like the student to have an instrument, but if not I can provide one for the lesson.

*** Specialties ***
I'm really pretty versatile. Over 18 years of teaching anywhere from 80 to 100 students a week will do that.

Sean was really on the spot with us. I am a beginning strings instructor, and my son didn't want to take lessons from anyone but me. Not only did Sean win me over with his pedagogy, but he won my son over as well.

Charlie is an awesome teacher and my 6 year old enjoys the guitar lessons. We like him so much better than the original independent teacher we had, with whom we felt rushed all the time, and we didn't get our money worth. With Charlie is different, he is patient and has the right approach for kids beginners; we highly recommend him to others.

Are you looking for a great guitar teacher who will push you to be your best self? Students who take lessons with me are given specialized curriculums to suit their personal guitar goals and make sure they get the most out of their money. Lessons with me are slightly different because of my background. I started out playing classical guitar and this has shaped my guitar learning experiences, which in turn changed the way I teach. I come at things from a musical theory standpoint, with precision and a focus on improvement through better technique and a solid foundation in the basics. Send me a message and we can start learning together!

About Brendon
I have been playing guitar for a total of 8 years, and teaching students for 2 years. In that time I have grown so much as a player and realized an innate ability to get across the best techniques for guitar, reading music and the other facets of music theory.

I started teaching at a professional music school based out of Wesley Chapel called Studio 28. After a while I felt that I had more room to grow as a private teacher and began to find private students. what I lack in experience I make up for in dedication and a constant hunger to learn the best tactics for teaching effectively.

if you are looking for a great modern teacher with new age teaching techniques, give me a try and I promise you wont be disappointed!

To play off what Chaz said, I'm a recovering trumpet player who initially tried my hand at the guitar about 5 years ago. Corey quickly figured out that my talent and background were better suited to the bass. There's been no turning back. Corey's a great teacher! He's always patient, he makes you work, and you enjoy the process. I'd give him more than 5 stars if I could!!

I currently have more guitar students than anything, and I think that relates to the wide variety I like to teach with. With a background in rock and roll, blues, folk, and bluegrass, I’m happy to teach you in whatever genre you enjoy!

About Lucas
I’ve been playing music since 2001, and performing in bands since 2010. My students LOVE lesson night. The key is meeting students where they are and listening to them; a concept that gets overlooked. Parent feedback has been amazing, and watching the student’s progress has been priceless.

Whether you’re taking mandolin, guitar, banjo, or whatever instrument you enjoy, you’ll find lessons with me to be both enjoyable and educational. My approach involves both A. Learning Songs (the what) and B. Music Theory (the why); an important balance. I look forward to watching you fall in love with your instrument :)

Top 50 Intermediate Guitar Songs Everyone Should Know
The topic of intermediate guitar songs and solos is a tricky one, because it means different things to different people. Some players learn certain techniques faster than others, and what is advanced to some is borderline-beginner to others. Nevertheless, songs like “Blackbird” by Paul McCartney, “Can’t Stop” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and “Voodoo Child” by Jimi Hendrix are popular, time-honored classics that you probably won’t learn as a brand new guitarist.
