Hello there! My name is Tyler and I would love to teach you or your child how to play the guitar.
I purchased my first guitar when I was 8 years old and was so excited to learn how to play. I took my first lesson a year later, but was disappointed. I didn't find it fun and therefore didn't want to practice. I wanted to play songs, but all the instructor wanted me to do was learn basic theory. After not making progress... I stopped the lessons. The next year I tried a different instructor, but still did not learn much. The issue for me was playing guitar wasn't fun for me at this point. And that is the most important thing in my opinion if you are going to dedicate yourself to learning to play. A few years later... I discovered punk rock music and online guitar tabs. Suddenly, I was able to look up on my own how to play songs that I was actually excited to play. This changed everything. I started to practice daily. Within a few more years... I could handle almost any basic chord ...
