Tom was absolutely fantastic. He seemed to be genuinely interested in my progress and just as excited as I was about me picking up the piano again - over 20 years since I’d last had lessons - which was an excellent motivator. I may have gone home and practices for a few hours. I look forward to continuing my lessons with him.

What a great teacher! He has several decades of experience in playing and teaching and it shows. He plays effortlessly and is very patient. He would be the ideal teacher for someone who is either new or already experienced with the guitar. Also, I feel like he can play most any song (and coming from a 70s/80s rock/metal fan, it's great). If you're on the fence about learning or continuing with lessons, give him a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve really enjoyed my lessons with Bill. Learned a ton from him so far and appreciate his patient, calm manner

Bill is easy to work with and very patient. He is also great at teaching you chords and strumming patterns while learning songs you enjoy.

"Hands down the best guitar instructor in St Louis.

Since retiring in 2006 I tried a few others but David brings expertise in not only guitar mechanics and virtuosity but an understanding of deeper musical principles and its application to the guitar student.

Dave is a true genius in the art of Guitar, no matter the musical genre - or -whether its Led Zepplin or Brouwer classical guitar method.he can't be beat.

I have been taking Guitar Lessons from Matt for a couple of years now. He is very good at looking for what his students want and formulating lessons that target those wants while further developing areas of focus. In addition, Matt is passionate about music and teaching and best of all he is a fun teacher!!! It's a blast to go through a lesson and then jam with him at the end!!! Matt is HIGHLY recommended for lessons whether you are just starting on guitar or if you are like me playing for many years but wanting to take it to the next level."

Specifically, I was told that playing the shamisen or the koto (two native stringed instruments) is a skill learned by way of the student facing the teacher and playing w …
