I was impressed with the one on one lessons. I got those lessons from Patrick after I took a group class with him. I learned a lot in that short lesson. A one on one was even better. He used Zoom to make the chord charts and everything available to me. I learned new major and minor chords in the first lesson. He understood my goals and was able to adapt to them and plan future lessons in an efficient way. I recommend lessons from him.

This is YOUR lesson. We will learn songs that you like and we will incorporate theory along the way. Be prepared for jam sessions at the end of every lesson. I teach out of a book called "Lessons for Life". This guitar theory book puts it into practical terms and you will be able to see improvement quickly. We also have a full recording studio for when you feel like you have mastered a song!

About Courtney

Extremely helpful during lessons. Designs the lessons to use song in my areas of interest. Lesson critiques are always done in a positive manner. Right now mostly in the area of finger placement. This does make the music easier to play. Her husband Chris also teaches.

Courtney and Chris are amazing. They really make sure that you know what your doing by the time you leave your lesson, and they are both so much fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone at any level of experience.

Chris was my instructor. He was very encouraging and understanding. I am soooo new to this.

Students can expect an "original" lesson based on they way they learn. Some students absorb material from reading music or tablature while others respond in an auditory way or "by ear." What ever the style in all cases leaning an instrument should be a fun thing to do. The best.

About Richard

I have studied, performed and taught music for over 30 years. Accordion was my first instrument at age 7 which was a great introduction to the keyboard, melody and harmony. That was followed by guitar and other stringed instruments (Banjo, Ukulele) as well as drums. I studied with great teachers

I’ve been taking classes for approx 2 years and have really enjoyed learning from Brenden. He’s Ext really knowledgeable about any instrument and music in general. I’ve gained so much and even though I’m still a beginner I have a deeper understanding that I wouldn’t get from watching you tube or another online learning method.

I am an experienced session player of about 5 years, specializing in classic rock, jazz, blues and pop! I have been playing guitar for 11 years and was self taught up until I studied music theory and performance at Los Angeles Pierce College. There I also played in the jazz ensemble and was a part of the choir where I played in multiple student concerts on and off campus, including at USC. Since then I have played lead and rhythm guitar in many bands around LA and released one album and two singles. My favorite artists include Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Jackson Browne, Tom Petty and Talking Heads. I like working with people who are eager to learn and willing to ask questions to make sure they get what they want out of my lessons.

About Jacob

I’ve been playing guitar for about 11 years. I started out self-taught and decided to take it a step further in college with theory classes and playing in the jazz band. I grew up on classic rock, (Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Jackson Browne) and nowadays I like to keep up with indie rock

"I've been taking lessons with Jonah for 6 years now (4th-10th grade) and the experience has been amazing! With Jonah's help, I have learned so much about the guitar, both in technical aspects and in simply "jamming." Jonah is always very patient, kind, encouraging, and his passion for music very clearly shows in his teaching. Every lesson I take is very enjoyable, and I always come out of the lessons feeling like I have made good progress on whatever it was we were working on that week. Whether you wish to learn about complex music theory and lead guitar (like I am currently doing), or just want to learn how to play a few songs, Jonah is a perfect choice as a teacher. Additionally, Jonah is very communicative and flexible with timing. Whenever I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson for whatever reason, Jonah responds to my messages quickly and is almost always able to find another day that week for our lesson to take place on. 5 stars, fantastic teacher, I highly recommend Jonah!"

"Strongly recommend Andrew for anyone interesting in learning guitar! Andrew is amazing guitar teacher and is incredibly easy going. I think what’s been most impressive about Andrew is his versatility and ability to really cater lessons to bring you wherever you want to go as a guitar player.

I’ve been playing guitar on and off for 10+ years and was really stuck because I didn’t know the first thing about music theory (especially as it related to guitar). I’ve been taking lessons with Andrew for 6+ months and it’s been a great investment. Ear training is so important with guitar and Andrew has brought me to a point where I can pick up notes from songs without needing tabs. We’ve covered everything from music theory (keys, chord theory, major/minor scales, root notes, octave shapes) to blues. I can now confidently play songs from Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaughan and licks from John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.

I remember our first lesson I asked him, “ So how long do you think it will take for me to be able to solo along with a track?”

“How about today?” -Andrew"

"Steve G: A Superb Instructor

I'm a student of Steve G.'s and am in my 40's. I had previously taken classical piano lessons from the age of 7 until 18, but I wanted to try my hand at guitar. Having come from a long line of teachers in my own family, I am well acquainted with the great (but often under-appreciated) skill it requires to be a quality instructor of any kind. A superb instructor (like Steve G.) should possess the following qualities:

1. Patient: Prodigies or masters of their art often lack the ability to convey their ability on a small scale to their pupils. Steve is an amazing performer and artist, and yet he is humble enough to walk alongside you, particularly when you are establishing the fundamentals of guitar technique. He will find the areas that need work and allow you to see how a small amount of persistence can result in large gains.

2. Encouraging: Steve is always optimistic. You can feel his passion for music in every word he speaks. He has the rare gift of making you see the flashes of your own talent, and he will help you build on those. He will not only help you figure out ways to overcome your obstacles in playing, but he will also deepen your appreciation of the instrument itself. He even went with me to the store to pick out an awesome acoustic guitar!

3. Individualizing: Steve doesn't have a once-size-fits-all method of teaching. He is a very keen and observant instructor who will challenge you based on your progress as well as your natural abilities. He will get to know you as a human being and as a budding artist. He will find ways to allow you to take your own inspirations and use them to drive you forward in your musical exploration.

4. Exemplary: Steve has tremendous integrity, not only as an artist but also as a professional instructor. He is also a tremendous guitarist with a broad repertoire, and watching him play will motivate you to become even better.

I hope this review is helpful to anyone who is considering taking lessons. Sign up with Steve and you won't regret it! Good luck on your journey!"

"My son started taking classes with Mr. Geiswite four months ago. I can already see major improvements in the way he plays. Mr. Geiswite very patiently corrects the way my son plays guitar, slowing him down wherever needed and helps him understand how to play more effectively and efficiently.
