As every student is unique my teaching style really depends on the student! Some want to learn for fun, others are studying for exams or college. As a result its really important for me to tailor my lessons towards each student and what they would like to work on. For some that could mean working on vocal technique, others working on music and repertoire. I’m adept at adapting to each student’s individual talents and vocal needs and therefore its important that for that each student progresses at a pace that they are comfortable with.

About Biraj

A native of London, England, my recent engagements include the role of Tirsi in Marco de Gagliano’s La Dafne with the European Opera Academy in Bauska, Latvia in July, creating the role of Kenny Fuller in the world premiere of Francis Trester’s ‘Keepers of the Light’ at the Nahant Music Festival in

About Julia

I have been teaching both voice and beginner to intermediate piano to all ages for five years throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens. My voice and piano lessons focus on developing a healthy technique, learning how to sight read, breathing exercises, acting, and having fun. Linda is perfection! my 6 year old daughter adores her and has learned so much.

I am a retired professor. It is always my dream to be able to sing some day, but I was intimidated by the technical requirements involved in singing until I met Linda. She is a wonderful singing coach, knowledgeable, honest, patient, and inspiring at the same time. Not only she has amazing voice, but also has very good ear and can immediately tell whenever one is off tune or not. Linda combines rigorous demand for perfection with warm encouragement and repeated demonstration of how to improve. I am blessed that I had her as my coach. After having just taken a course on bel canto offered by her recently, I feel that I really have learnt enormously about breathing, resonance, vibration, Italian pronunciation, and several beautiful songs, among others. I most strongly recommend Linda without any reservation to any one who is thinking to learn how to sing.
Amanda
I have learned so much from Ms. Linda about vibrato and breath support, along with singing with healthy technique. She has also helped me achieve a mixed sound. She is a one of a kind teacher and worth every penny!

With over 10 years of teaching and performance experience, I can help you reach your goals. My teaching is very much influenced by my certification in Somatic Voicework™ The Lovetri Method. It is a body-based method of vocal training which is based upon voice science and medicine, traditional classical training, and various bodywork approaches. If you're struggling in a particular area of your voice, I can help you work through those issues.

About Cindy

Regardless of where your musical interests lie, I can help you improve your skills! Growing up, I fell in love with playing and singing all styles of music! I've delved into classical, jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, reggae, soca, pop and musical theater, and I can teach you how to apply proper technique

I am excited about my teacher and my lesson. Cindy was not only patient but she explained things to me so simply. I found it quicker and easier to understand because of the way she explained things to me than when I have had explanations by my last two teachers. She is cheerful, friendly and has a beautiful spirit.
I am also very happy her location is convenient and not far from my home. THANK YOU!!

"I just signed up with Asuka a few weeks ago while she was traveling internationally for her performance. Because she was away, we did online lessons. At first I was skeptical because of the time difference and the quality etc. but she has very much experience not only teaching, but with online lessons. My son has an international singing competition coming up and Asuka is not only preparing him for the competition, but also for what expect from judges and how to mentally perceive the performance. Although she travels and maintains her successful career, she is able to put everyone ounce of her expertise into helping my son from where ever she is. When she came back to NYC she also worked personally with him as well. She is the best teacher and vocal coach we have had to date."

"Dr. R is a very talented vocalist who has a strong background in Alexander Technique. Combining the two makes a very sympathetic and understanding mentor. He can hear all of your tensions, including the ones you aren’t aware of. His style of teaching is a very natural approach and he will not ask you to do anything that hurts or pushes you too far. "As a classically trained violinist with a degree in Music Education (from UNT). Natasha has been by far, the best teacher and vocal coach I have ever had. Under her tutelage, I really do feel that I've made some excellent vocal improvement over the past 6 months. She is a wonderful and enthusiastic person who is not only succinct in her pedagogical approach, but, also knows how to motivate you even when you are in doubt of yourself. She has given me confidence in my vocal ability and really takes her art form of singing seriously. I would absolutely highly recommend her!"

8 Beautiful Opera Arias for Beginner Singers

It is always exciting when a vocal student is ready to start studying his or her first operatic aria! One of the best things about being a classical singer is knowing you have so many great years ahead of you. After all, you’re considered in your prime in your 40s. That being said, realize that the voice you have now and the repertoire you’ll first study will be very, very different from what you sing later on in your career. It’s absolutely crucial that you sing repertoire that is …
